Nice HMA article and nice looking Supra. My favorite Toyota in Forza games is probably the 1998 Toyota Supra RZ or one of the racing Supra’s. In real life I wouldn’t mind having something practical made by Toyota that gets good gas mileage so I would be fine with a Corolla or even a Yaris even though I’m not a huge fan of hatchbacks.
The late 90s Supra turbos were my fav you could get monster hp out of that turbo v6 kinda like how you could get monster hp with a buick grand nationnal turbo!
wow that is a really cool supra and well I think the car logo is pretty cool were it say “THIS is a Toyota Supra, dont mess with me!” kinda thing, now on the upgrades I thought it was interesting how it really looked stock stock from the out side but the engine, … WOW! man I wonder if that could beat my(class R3800) toyota supra 1997. (oh yeah that is my favorite) especially when you do the body upgrades:
now the new design for the FT-1 (maybe supra) car looks really cool and it may be able to take on a viper and corvette. but in real life price takes affect and that will be like probably $100,000
I also think it’s funny how Mario Cart made one of the cars after the 98 supra:
I say to my friends that I’m driving the Toyota on mariocart and everyone go’s nuts (lol) (has any one not noticed that?)
although it’s sad how Toyota made these stupid commercials and now AT&T, Aspen-dental, VW, Ford and lots of other car companies are now having a JAN’ish thing in their commercials, (god what has this world come to ever since the Chrysler take over)
I also think about the fact that GM and Toyota joined forces to make GEO (man my dad had a GEO Prizim like 1990 ish?) and it had really good gas mileage, we could not turn it in for cash for clunkers, well not a Plymouth voyager, (sorry long story for another day)

My last two cars have been Toyotas, both 4-Runners. I leased my first one in ‘99 and traded it in on a second one three years later. We put alot of miles on our cars, the first had over70,000 and our ‘02 has over 210,000 trouble free miles. We are constantly using the rear cargo area for shopping and have taken many trips to our cabin and camping as well as many visits to our children in Utah. If we are taking more than what will fit in the car, I have an 8’ by 10’ covered trailer that it pulls with ease. It has been the perfect vehicle for us! I love my Toyota!
Great HMA! It brought me back to when I was a baby. Even though I don’t really remember and just have heard stories and seen pictures, my mom had an early 80’s Celica Supra( I’ll have to find a picture just to be sure it was the Supra and not a regular Celica) with a louver on the hatch and my family moved from AZ to NC and my mom was driving and the dog was in the front seat with me in the back with all the clothes. It must have been cramped going cross country in that, but I’m sure it was fun at the same time. So that’s my favorite is the MkII Celica Supra. I’m very much an American muscle car lover, but you can’t deny that Toyota has always produced some exciting cars through it’s rich history and the 80’s and 90’s were some of it’s best times and best cars.
Man a great read again. That 1987 Supra so nice. The Supra logo is hot very cool.Freedom he says yes I think racing is too.Peace is racing to me. sleepyp1980 unicorn 93 mines skyline
i have always liked those supras along with the earlier celica supra. my favorite would probably be the 1980 corolla 2 door i had a couple years ago. i swapped in a 12a rotary engine with an extend port, racing beat intake with a holley 650 carb, racing beat header and 2.5" straight through exhaust. To fire all the fuel i ran twin msd 6al boxes and 2 msd blaster coils. i rode around the street on celica supra rims and at the strip i had a pair of steel wheels with drag radials. it was a fun car and fast too. I have pictures of it too if interested. it wasnt pretty and i sold it before i could finish it.
Sweet looking Supra ! I wish i could own one . My favourite Tototas are the 97 Supra Twin-Turbo and the AE86 Corolla Levin. I really like the Gt86 as well!
My cousin had a Celica Supra, can’t remember what year it was, early 80’s late 70’s, not shure. It was his first car, he was a year older than me, I couldn’t drive yet, and we put that car through its paces, took it everywhere! Remember that long hood housing that inline six. It was fast, or at least felt like it at the time, yeah it was fast. Had louvers, and wire wheels that he had taken the wire baskets out of, that made them just a deep chrome dish wheel. We had a blast in that car. Today he’s on his I think third STI Subie.
I would still have ta pick The last gen Supras as my fave when it comes to a Toyota car though. As I currently own a 4Runner and love it! But as was also mentioned gotta love an fj40 or nicely outfitted fj60, or 80.
Jerry has quite the car there! it looks great and looks like a fun drive. Im guessing driving to work in that car must be fun, good luck on your build and as usual great post!

My dad used to have one of these cars back when I was still a baby. same exact car as the one he has but BLUE! But he had to sell it because he needed a car that could fit a carseat for wittle me
Back in the naughties, (90’s) had a lil Yota Pick up, bone stock except for a killer Alpine/Sony/Pioneer sound system… if i could ide get another one and open up the back fire wall and build a box containing a couple of more subs… tough as nails and the itty bitty 4 banger gave some other imports fits from the stoplights. a chevy 3fifty would snuggle right in, but saw a GN 3.8 fitted into one that was really scary fast.
great job on the Supra sir and there never really is a last one is there?
