Head tracking

It would be nice to have head tracking support

Head tracking support would be a legendary addition, let me tell you why…

Forza multiplayer (particularly in cockpit view) has always been a tad difficult. The proximity arrows are not ideal, and using the right thumbstick to view behind and beside your car is clunky and takes focus off of your steering and other controls. Adding head tracking support to the game would one, free up the camera movement and right stick actuation, but it will also allow players who play in cockpit view to get a better sense of situational awareness. Ever played Beamng? Asetto Corsa? Those games among many others support head tracking (and VR for that matter) and the experience is much more immersive. Forza Motorsport has the visuals and physics most of us Forza players wanted, but those holding drift lobbies or racing against other players online are left without an acceptable means of camera control. There is head tracking support for MSFS, and that makes the game feel like you’re in a 3D space, providing immersion. If Forza Motorsport had the same dynamic, I guarantee it would get people to rave about their racing experience.

We know you can add it to the game, and it may not be on the list of priorities right now, but it should be. If you’re a Forza player who feels the same way about head tracking support, leave a comment below so the devs at Turn 10 can see that it’s important to the community.

I am surprised that Turn 10 didn’t get some of Asobo’s direction with FM23, seeing that they built the engine that Asobo used for Flight Simulator. Honestly, whatever feature Flight Simulator has, Forza should have had it, as well.

Exactly, I think they may have intended to integrate it early om before Microsoft fired half of the dev team or whatever caused the initial delay for FM23

I just bought a webcam and software a week ago and was surprised how many games support head tracking. I wasn’t that surprised when it did not work with Forza to be honest, IL-2 Sturmovik from 10 years ago even works.
