I am posting this in hopes of finding some answers. I recently bought a Samsung C49RG with HDR10. When i tried to run forza 4 on it the HDR looks washed out and i have no idea how to fix it. I have seen many other posts of people having other problems with this game on PC. Is there any way i can fix this?
I assume you have googled this first? Rather than have people repeating all the same advice you could read those results?
Pretty sure the brand new Nvidia driver is at fault here. Rolling back to 446.14 to see if this is the case right now. Will update soon.
update: It is. The brand new driver allows windows to do its HDR conversion of SDR content. This feature is still broken. Makes all SDR content look washed out and super color bandy. Raises the black levels of HDR content. Skip the 446.48 driver.

Washed-Out Colors in Forza Motorsport 8? Here’s a Simple Fix (NVIDIA Users)
If your colors or HDR look broken in Forza Motorsport 8, here’s a workaround I found that works perfectly on PC (NVIDIA cards only):
- Install the new NVIDIA App (Beta) from NVIDIA’s site
- Open the app and go to Game Settings
- Select Forza Motorsport 8
- Move the Optimize slider a bit (up/down)
- Click Apply
- Launch the game — your default visuals and brightness/HDR should be back
This trick forces the game profile to refresh. It’s not a perfect fix, but it works every single time.
