So I downloaded forza horizon 4 demo and on load up screen for your settings it says no HDR TV DETECTED even though I’m running through Samsung 4K tv??

Do you have a information button on your controller. I have one on mine that tells you the resolution and if hdr is enabled. Checked you settings in xbox one itself and try another hdmi/port

not even on xbox , the pc have the same problem too, and my TV is sony x900e , I have already enabled the HDR on windows it worked fine and I played with FM7 ,it worked too! but I don’t get it why FH4 can’t detect my TV HDR…

My tv says HDR with my one X and the demo.
The problem is not on One X. It is on your TV configuration. When I bought Samsung KS9000 last year I got the same problem as you.
Solution was easy but was hidden. Cause Menus on TV are confused. If you see the option “HDR” on your TV… it should be NOT connected. Amazing, yes, but it must be off.
The key is under HDMI config. Navigate through expert settings (on TV) and you will see (just remembering, I’m not in front of my TV) something related to HDMI.
Inside you will see one row for each hdmi available. By default all of them are off. And they MUST be ON to be able to obtain HDR running.
Digital Foundry did one video about it time ago. Search in their channel if my guide is not enough.

Does not work hdr on a PC with a monitor LG 34WK650-W. With the rest of the games there are no problems.
Which samsung do you have? I’ve got a ks7500 (ks8500 in the US) and have the same problem : the first setup screen says"no HDR detected" BUT my TV says that it’s receiving an HDR signal. Also another strange thing : I can’t change the name of my character, when I try to do it I goes directly into the first race… I’m currently redownloading the demo to check if it can solve the problem.
BTW, my X is on preview alpha skip ahead.
Hdr started working when I enabled it forcibly in Windows 10 before entering the game. And the game itself began to determine the hdr display.
I have a LG TV that supports HDR, but when i downloaded Forza horizon 4 demo, it shows that no HDR TV detected. Other games do not have this kind of problem. I donot know if this is some kind of bug or some game settings need to be changed. Please give me some solution.
I downloaded the Forza Horizon 4 demo and it showing message that it does not detect any HDR TV. I have a LG UHD TV which Supports HDR 10 and also dolby vision. Other games detect HDR. Please let me know if this is some kind of bug or is there any trick resolve it. I have a xbox one x.
I got the solution to this problem. LG TV settings need to be changed specially for games as it does not require for normal HDR videos. Select all settings and than we have to select Ultra HDMI deep color option which comes under picture option. Then it will show that it is disable by default for the HDMI port , so enable it and than when you load the game , you will see that the TV automatically detects HDR content and HDR logo will pop up.
I have a samsung UN40KU7000F and the Xbox had to be connected to the HDMI 1 (CABLE/SAT/DVI) for hdr to be enabled.
