Hard tire wear and grip needs to be better balanced

Hard race tyres are the worst tyres. Sport and street tyres have more grip and last longer and when used means you can put more power on car. Ruins long races

I would argue that Hard tyres aren’t bad enough.

The performance differential between Softs and Hards is about 1.5%, whereas the wear rate is halved.

The result of this is that in Medium length races you will often find that the optimal strategy is to no-stop a race on Hards rather than having any 1-stop strategy be viable.

Soft/Medium compounds may produce faster laptimes, but not fast enough to cancel out the 30 second time loss from a stop.

I would suggest that Mediums be 2.5% slower than Softs, and that Hards be 5% slower than Softs. Wear rates are fine but this change would make multiple strategies viable.
