Soooo… is the hall of fame ranked incorrectly?personally I think it is. Currently it’s ranked by accolade points, with a draw being decided by who got the score first.
How about we score it by the amount of completed accolades with total score deciding a draw?
I could care less about the HoF. It proves nothing. I have the same thoughts for the online racing leaderboards which ranks players based on time played. I almost don’t even care about regular leaderboards because they are filled with so many invalid times. If I were grading this games “boards” I would give them a big fat F.
I go back and forth on it. It has some interesting challenges, but completing it is impossible unless you’re an artist, a tuner, and a EventLabs craftsman.
It would be a million times better if the Hall of Fame was restricted to offline play only and didn’t bother with any of the creative aspects, especially the latter since it puts 99% of the players at a disadvantage.
It doesn’t help (and I’m far from an artist in any of the above) that even with downloads and “uses” (however the heck that is counted) it’s still pretty nigh impossible to collect “likes”, because, thanks PGG or whoever, only Tunes make it easy for a user to click a like with a reminder in game after X uses (X = 3 I think, and again, however it counts uses).
I still regularly get downloads and uses but rarely a like anymore (can’t recall the last time, months, but it used to happen a lot more several series back, I’m sure they “fixed” something )
The HoF is nothing more than a springboard into the next step of the game. It could have been called “The Pointless” and just based on the number of races you’ve completed.
Accolades, Kudos, and even Leaderboards are three absolutely pointless features of this game.
Accolades because once you’ve opened the HoF door, what point is there to getting more? You can’t spend them on anything?
Kudos because, well, they’re so pointless I can’t even think of a reason. You Can’t do anything with them. They don’t unlock anything, you can’t buy anything with them. Why are they there?
Leaderboards are so screwed up with invalid times they are pointless to even have in the game. If PGG isn’t going to wipe them they should just remove them.
So there you have the opinion of a Grumpy Old Man. Good Day Folks.
I believe there could have been more meaning to the Hall of Fame and accolades. Awards for certain accolades could of been more rare (instead of autoshow cars). Unfortunately, the only things “rare” are chat options and clothing. But I know locking rare cars behind accolades would get the mob to light their torches…
@NeubaumTurk_HK I’d much rather see rare legendary cars locked behind accolades where you could go for them any time you want than have them appear once in a blue moon in a play list. Or have to battle with the bots trying to win one at auction.
Then if they want to use them as playlist prizes they still could or they could use the accolades as playlist prizes.
Yeah that’s odd. Unless they’re photo op type or some other type where completion isn’t required for the end purpose (smash X type for example) and people are using them but not completing to count for a “played” but still clicking the “like” because it helped them out ?
I do like this leaderboard, it provides incentive for some to complete the random grindy accolades that otherwise wouldn’t be cared for. It also is cool to see exactly how many players the game has. It’s a good competitive board IMO
HoF, All leaderboards, Kudos, Accoldes…
As with many others, I couldn’t care less for any of these.
HoF, Leaderboards - all rigged and totally artificial. Kudos, Accolades - Pointless inclusion in the game.
Waste of dataspace on the servers.
well, accolades and the hall of fame leaderboard - while I agree it’s a bit pointless, isn’t too badly rigged, if I’m in the top 100 (95th last time I checked) it can’t be!!
Kudos - now I’m fairly sure that does actually do something - provide wheelspins, not that I really need any myself and anyone getting enough Kudos to earn wheelspins probably doesn’t either
leaderboards for stunts and such well, yeah; I used to play Hitman 2 a lot and there was an informal thing on the forums where people would do speedruns but record them “or it never happened”, that kind of idea - only informal, though - but could work here
I have enjoyed getting myself from top 125K to top 50K on the board and it has pushed me to improve my efforts. It’s harmless fun, like the rest of the game. Some folk like drifting, some like painting, some even like racing. It’s just another aspect to a pretty massive game that helps to keep bringing me back.
