You’re right, it’s a game, so the cars should at least handle like it.
Sounds like a skill issue tbh
Have a good day.
This sounds like a skill issue in discussing tbh
The cars are very much drivable, however that being said, in contrast to real life scenarios, there are few turns which IRL cars can go flatout, but Motorsport can’t.
one user explained somewhere mentioning that Virage Du Tertre rouge, a turn you can take flat-out in an LMP1(Forza Proto-H), but in Forza you can’t.
Edit: Slippery physics in FM
here is the thread
Forza P1 is LMP1. (for which the default 919 hybrid setup is undrivable)
Proto-H is Hypercar.
Better a SIM that tells you LOOK YOUR TIRES HAVE LIMITS, than one that at DAY ONE makes you take corners Flat out by professional Drivers. Then you end up in the NEWS because your car hugged a tree.
I think the GT3 cars are pretty easy to drive once your used to the game. You arn’t going to be great right away. LMDh cars are harder to drive well but they should be that way.
In the end the cars arn’t going to be perfect sim mirrors of real life. They are modeling over 600 cars at this point. I don’t know why people expect this game to be iRacing or Assetto.
You can take corners faster in sims though.
Because you can press start and restart for free
I heard somewhere that Eau Rouge has turned into a sequence that was done without thinking about it flat out. I can understand The MP4/4 and 641 needing to lift (both cars have been OP since they were introduced), but the Hypercars, and newer LMP1’s should take it flat out no problem. When rain is brought into the equation it should be a different story.
That being said, the game is bad. They didn’t do their research. Top brass definitely does not study racing.
Uhuh, sure does take a lot of skill to stay full throttle and turn slightly right then left.
Exactly…
I definitely understand that it is not a simulator but what the hell I take eau rouge 1/10 well and it is not lack of skill. I have set my setup well and in any case I can’t do it fully. There is a sort of bump near the right curb that makes the car jump WHATEVER SET UP YOU USE. It is right that it is not a simulator but these problems are too frustrating.
At least give us some good stock set ups on the cars. They can’t even do that
The link’s topic explains everything. People defend the game without any logic but in reality I know I am right, but what can I do? Thanks for sharing
Eau Rouge flat easy in the Porsche LMDH. Included whole lap which includes stability everywhere else. Proper tune was all it took. Does it suck that it requires tuning to make the cars behave properly. Yes. Forza is one of the worst games for stock tuned cars, with most of them being nearly undriveable or poorly driveable on a wheel especially. This really sucks for stock spec cars.
Any idea if this tune is available? Or tunes from the same creator for other cars? I’ve been fiddling with the BMW hypercar & can’t get it sorted out to where I can take Eau Rouge flat out. Plus even if I could, the AI cars aren’t going to take it flat out. I really wish T10 would fix the remaining problems with AI.
It is my tune. I haven’t made this specific one publicly available, though I might have another one that is close. I haven’t properly tuned the BMW LMDH yet, though I was able to take Eau Rouge flat with a basic slap on base I use.
I can make it public for you if you like. It is a wheel tune and might not play nice with a controller. Though I have had controller players tell me they like my tuines, though others say they are too “loose” for them.
Thanks. I’d like to try it. I use a controller by pushing stick forward & rotating left or right. Might work for me…might not.
I shared it publicly, Eau Rouge flat. Here is the actual tune if you want to make any of your own adjustments. Ignore the FFB/Steering lock. Left that in there for any wheel players that might want to try it.
