Loss of traction and strange behavior with hypercars

Hypercars are designed with a lot of aerodynamics and therefore could and should take the Eau Rouge corner in Spa flat out like in real life. Why does my car keep bouncing during the corner and losing traction? I can’t take the corner flat out, even when I lift my foot before the corner. The car feels like it’s constantly hitting bumps. It does this on turn one too. If you use the Porsche 919 hybrid you will notice this bouncing more. Can anyone help me?

Can anyone try and tell me please? I can’t share my video because it says that the extension is not authorized. I paid 80€ for this, I’m really disappointed even for those people who keep saying that the game is perfect

Is it too soft and/or too low and bottoming out? Or maybe tyre type or pressure? Bouncing would likely imply suspension, but, the cars can ‘bounce’ and wobble about when scrubbing, or the bumping you describe could be feedback telling you you’re sliding/scrubbing?

I’m not expert on this to be able to say it’s possible to go through full banana in this game, but, seems like tuning is required to get it to behave how you want, plus maybe a little learning the game itself if you’re new to it?

Honestly I just feel this comes down to the handling physics being a little wonky. Cause there have been numerous videos showing real life LMP style cars full throttle bombing eau rouge but here most likely unless you have the perfect tune on the car to somewhat abuse the physics, your probably gonna slide out or just not be able to fill throttle safely. Don’t matter if it’s in private lobbies or featured. I just have faith over time turn 10 will adjust a few things like this to give us a better experience with the physics engine. But also a lot of this comes down to the core aspects of, driver capabilities, corner entry angle, weight distribution and other physical aspects of the car, possibly even a slight adjustment to the stiffness of your suspension or adjusting the geometry.

I am quite an expert in set up and I have always played Forza games. I tried with the suspension, springs and height settings with any variable. I also tried to use the pro player tunes but nothing to do. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO TAKE THAT CORNER, the car bounces everywhere. Try with the Porsche 963 and let me know

I’ll definitely give it a go. But I doubt I’ll manage myself haha. A lot of it comes down to real life vs in game inconsistency which is something I hope gets smoothed out. And other inconsistent stuff such as the final turn on Sebring having track limits on the inside the way it does. Stuff like this may not seem like a big deal to them but to us it is a big deal as it effects our experience.

I’ll have a look when I fire the game up in a bit.

You are completely right

As I said I’m pretty good at tinkering with setups, in fact all my cars have setups created by me because I don’t like other people’s setups. I really hope they do something in may otherwise it will be a disaster. The cars still behave strangely and I already made another post but apparently people say it’s perfect…

Upload the video Unlisted on YouTube and drop the link in here.

Just been through there in the 963 with throttle pinned several times after tuning to do it. Some attempts tidier than others, but it can be done fairly easily. Not sure if you’d really want to do this or if the tune is good for a whole lap though. Also, is ‘no lift’ the default irl way, or do they normally lift before and/or partial through?

ETA - Gamepad and bonnet cam, if that makes any difference? I don’t see why I couldn’t do this on a wheel …and perhaps with even more control/finesse.

Were you able to take it EASILY?

Yes, I would say so. I haven’t got time to make and upload video at the moment, but, I shared the tune for you - search for ‘Eau Rouge pinned’

Would you be so kind as to tell me what you put in the setup? To learn for the next time. I can do it but sometimes the car slips, this problem always remains but it’s easier to avoid. But absolutely this mess should not be made…

Sorry for the delay.

I think they give you a reasonable stock tune on the 963, that’s a jack of all trades and master of none. Imagine the tune I shared was the stock tune and then imagine how people would complain of poor performance at Le Mans for example.

It was a very quick, rough tune and I’m absolutely no expert, but it did come out OK and got the job done. I simply based it on the principles you need to apply to try to make it behave the way you want. Bumped the aero up and stiffened the suspension - don’t think I did much more than that really.

I spent 2 hours to understand everything and I did the same thing before your message arrived. I went to look on the internet and youtube the recent opinion of some youtubers and they say the same thing I said. I also made another post about the GT3 cars on another serious problem. The cars instead of being glued to the ground slide and float. From the opinions on youtube I heard “disastrous situation”. I think I will make a post about it

I think disastrous may be overstating it? Sub-optimal may be more appropriate?

Focus more on the positives?

Too late, they’re gone.

Fair enough

There is not a single person who appreciate this game. Everyone complains about this game especially the physics. Why are you happy with how it is?
