Graphics: Shadow Artifacting On Multiple Tracks And Weather Conditions (1589717)

Because there should be stuff to unlock in games. Whether you agree with the system or not, the car XP gives a sense of progression in the game. I have worked my way through several cars to level 50 now and I have enjoyed the process of each one of them. I now have cars upgraded and tuned for every class that pops in multiplayer. And when a new stock hopper pops up, I enjoy the process of leveling up the car again.

I don’t see why it’s such an issue anyway. If you like a car and want to upgrade it then just drive it for a while, it doesn’t take that long. About 3 or 4 online race sessions is usually all it takes to upgrade the car quite significantly another race or 2 and it will be maxed. Does everyone need to fully upgrade every single car in the game from day 1? I only tend to focus on a hand full of cars I like.

I am happy for you if leveling a car gives you a sense of progression, but that won’t work for me since leveling a cars gives me a high sense of frustration at a point that i simply skip… Don’t really know if it was on developer’s intentions but I’ve got 186 days of played in FM7 and it’s a week i’ve stopped to play their new game…

I wonder if this will be fixed in the next update? It only started for with the latest update,it mainly happens to me in autoshow and on the title screen, with the car and all the game options, race etc.
Picking a car then going back to the screen sometimes fixes it,ive also ahd it when a race starts, flickering with a strange flashing on top of the car and on the track. If i cancel the race and restart it sorts it but its a real PITA to have to do that.

To add, during a race it looks identical to the video posted at the beginning of the thread.

So, any timeframe for this being fixed yet?

Timeframe? Remember it’s Turn 10 we’re talking about here. Timeframe doesn’t exist in their vocabulary.

They really should focus on getting it fixed though. Ray tracing was one of the things they proudly mentioned in pre-release videos promoting all the improvements.

Indeed they should. But ray tracing was just one of many things they lied about before launch, so their priority could be all over the place.

Chris Esaki, who was hyping this game up by saying everything would be built from the ground up and how it would be better than everything previously made.

Where’s Chris now?? He’s gone into hiding and we’re left with a crappy game and a feeling of being lied to.

This issue has been reported before and tickets have even been made for it yet this is still not fixed. I seen lots of people in communities complain about it and some people even had epileptic reactions from it. Why is this not bumped up to the developers to get this fixed ASAP!!!

Hopefully this will be fixed soon, shameful that this has not been fixed yet while it causes so many problems for people!!!

also on pc , flickering headlights at night cockpit view all cars

Ok so we figured out that this is a Ray Tracing issue if you turn Ray Tracing off then no problems but turn Ray Tracing on and this happens. Hope this gets fixed because Ray Tracing is beautiful

Except it’s not. I get this issue very frequently and I’m running the game in 4K 60fps. Not te RT mode. (Xbox Series X)

I’ve also mostly noticed this in performance RT only. I’m hoping for a fix in the next update, about time too, as I want to revert to performance RT.

Yeah I hope it gets fixed soon, I also like RT so would love to go back to using it when it is fixed

This issue was addressed in Update 3.0:

  • Fixes to ray traced rendering features for ambient occlusion and mirror reflections that caused flickering and strobing effects on the car and road.
