Goliath Circuit Crash and Microsoft Experience after

It’s fine to have an opinion and act like a smartass, I don’t care much. I had something pop up, my search ended with a short post that suggests limiting the number of laps. My problem with this is the following - why not limit the amount of maximum laps in the first place? Not everyone goes to the forums and starts searching what should I NOT do in horizon because I might waste my time, you know. I don’t mind spending 1 hour tuning a car, but there is an outcome out of this 1 hour.

Thing is, if you own a game and there is a problem, don’t you want to fix it? I mean, limiting the number of laps on this circuit would have been such an easy solution.

And I did say in my post that maybe I am just butthurt. But why does it have to be this way when it can be easier? My butthurt-ness is gone now, definitely won’t be doing long Goliath circuits. If you guys consider this too reposted, feel free to remove the post. But at least make a sticky somewhere about it, or maybe I missed it…

Cheers and don’t be mean, I am definitely not trying to do something bad by this post …

Only thing you can control is what you do. They have not fixed it yet so I would just adjust what you do.

These days I just run 1 or 2 laps and then change cars and do it again. when I was keen I did 6 laps at the most and never had an issue.

This is the new forum, where everyone is quick to jump down your throat, not the old helpful forums of the past,i for one really miss the old helpful forums!!! All the good people are almost gone!!

People can be very helpful. The OP is looking for “compensation” over a video game glitch though (totally sleazy), NOT help. Not to mention this glitch with Goliath has been talked about by others for months.

How far do you have to go back to remember that forum. FM2/FM3 :wink:
(Kidding with you)

Somewhere between FM4 and FM5. This place changed along with the Consoles. (I am not really kidding very much)

It keeps being called the Goliath Glitch but it really need to be called the Overused Rewind Glitch. Although I’ve never tried it I’m sure it would happen in free roam as well. If the Xbox can only allows 5 minutes of game play without turning games into lag fests then how can FH3 record potentially hours of data and not be affected. The developers would have had far more complaints if they left out the rewind feature out altogether. Maybe in the wish list request they remove rewind because we’ll just abuse it.

Common sense is definitely the key here.

Incidentally, I noticed since the last Xbox update I can’t pause the game, power off using the home button, then unpause when I come back (this is in all games). Found out the hard way on lap 4/5…if only i’d just finished that last lap!

How long has this been happening as I had no problems today powered up the Xbox and just started from where I had paused the game last night. Most likely a wasted question but did you do a system restart after the last update.

Not a wasted question at all, quite a useful one actually. I just thought the update removed it like how I can’t have screen in screen tv while playing anymore. I’ll hard reset later. Thanks for the advice

Bad words followed by more bad words since the Last Xbox update I have also lot the snap featuer and have not been able to find away to turn it back on. Use to be good to be able to listen to the news while doing a few lap.

Snap was removed permanently
You should still be able to listen to the news though

now if I could only work out how to do it. And why did they dump snap it was quite useful?

Check if you console is using energy save mode or instant on mode. I think you would need instant on mode to be able to pause games and come back to them.

I don’t use rewind enough to know but I sorry of assumed it was because rewind the game is keeping track of whole race so it can reset back 30seconds or so. Goliath is a lot of territory and rendering so I always thought it was due to that

I’ve run 50 laps at other circuits with zero issues

However I’ve never tried spamming rewind to see if it’s a rewind issue or map size issue.

Same here most of the time I keep rewind turned off. Mainly use it for the Danger Signs approach, rest of the time it is off.
