Gift car: Meyers Manx feat. benny blanco, BTS, Snoop Dogg | Aug 5

You’re all being a little harsh. This month their budget was only 10 mill. They had to make a choice between sponsoring Snoop Dog or fixing critical bugs and issues such as leaderboards which have been broken since day 1 or unstable network connections. Unfortunately we can’t have it all and a choice had to be made.

I have a feeling nobody’s ever sent you the woosh copypasta. Also, I fully understand how marketing works, thank you. I’m merely implying it could at least make more sense, and to their credit, Hot Wheels and Extreme E make more sense than BTS and nail polish.

I’d take the Snoop DeVille though.

Snoop is in a coolish looking car (no idea what it is) in the video for this song ,gifting that car would have at least had some relevance

I like tie-ins. I wouldn’t have picked this one, but I can believe Snoop designed it himself and that’s kind of cool.

Looks like it might be his custom 67 Pontiac Parisienne Convertible. And yes, that would have been a sweet tie in.

I wonder if he plays Forza ?

Yep could easily have been part of an official statement on the development process of FH5 and the content that was brought to it.
To be honest I still feel for players new to the FH series it’s not a bad game, but no doubt bad decisions have been made. Not that there will be any admittance of that.

I guess he dropped it like it was hot.

Here’s a better livery which comes with a 5% speed boost

remember when you guys licensed out an entire stereo system company just so the McLaren F1 could be 100% accurate in Forzavista mode?

Now this is what you’re doing? Cheap product placement? How can a game franchise stoop so low?

Looks like Xzibit and Adidas had a go too

That red Max kind of looks a bit like a jackleg Adidas.

Anyone remember those popper trousers?

Well, this one will get that livery ripped off of it and repainted to something more family oriented. This is an all time new low.

This kind of marketing may be unconventional for Forza and while the partners may not be to everyones taste surely anything thats going to bring exposure of the game and franchise to millions of tween k pop fans is going to better for the game and the community in the long term.

Maybe the next partnership is something that will be more appealing to the folks that arent as interested in this one. As long as they arent taking stuff away I enjoy then Im happy that somethings being added that others will enjoy.

Did you see the singing controller ?? Im not in the slightest interested in a singing controller but if they can do that, then they can add a working rev counter to a forza branded elite controller…silver lining out of this for me is now i know i can start asking for that

The controller isn’t a real controller. You cannot use it to play games. It is just a for display purposes. In other words, a small mp3 player with one song on it done in a custom design in the casing of an Xbox controller. Sounds like a big fail to me. The greeting card industry has been putting songs in birthday cards for decades.

i still have faith in the boffins at xbox, they just did an update so a led rev counter works on a wheel.

what was once a somewhat rare car has now become commonplace. after checking the AH the average going price for this is about 20 to 50 grand. makes me glad i sold my duplicate a few months back at a premium (a couple million if i recall).

Meanwhile it’s been two months since my support ticket about not being able to purchase certain gift livery cars from the AH without the livery being stripped was closed, with the reassurance that the team would “look into it.” Like, if you’re going to gift these cars, why can’t you also upload the livery separately into the game, so that people can freely switch to and from it without losing it forever?

So they can celebrate a certain man who did a certain bad thing and got away with by giving everyone a car with his name on it but if you say what he actually did your post gets flagged and removed.

Better check your own code of ethics Microsoft and xbox.

Thanks but no thanks. The snoop dog manx has been removed from my garage because it violated my standards of ethics and morality.
