Just played a couple of track day meet ups and as expected it’s turned into a free for all of driving the track in reverse and plowing into others at full speed.
Can we have this changed so players doing this are just ghosted?

I had rammers. They’re probably going to have to ghost these up.
My absolute preference is for an option for each player to make one’s own car a ghost if they so desire.
I’ve been torpedoed a few times in these Meet Ups.
I’d like to recommend an option for each individual player to ghost themselves. And then if a lobby is a reasonably well behaved one and your happy with it, you could turn your ghosting off.
That sounds like a good suggestion to me.
It appears to me that new multiplayer features work well and are enjoyable for a time, until they are discovered by the griefers and cheaters. After that, they deteriorate quickly into a place you used to enjoy, but don’t go there anymore.
Anything that can be done to discourage this sort of game deterioration is a great idea.
In and out of the pause menu or sitting still can we be ghosted until we return to a certain speed? Couple of times yesterday. I had paused and made some adjustments off the road up against the guard rail, unpaused and returned to the track I heard two some drivers coming my direction so I kept flashing my brake lights and still two drifters plowed into me and didn’t even say sorry just went back to driving like nothing happened.. have better control of your car or atleast be etiquette and say sorry.. I dodged quite a few cars yesterday and I’m a terrible drifter in this game and if I did bump someone I did say sorry. Half the time I heard them coming early so I just took an outside groove so they had room to pass and let them be on there way.. a lot of times I got thanked.
I want to post this same message here and at another similar topic, as I think it is valuable to both topics and not me spamming.

I agree, if you are like me though I do enjoy having collisions on when paired with clean drivers so instead of ghosting yourself maybe a system where you can ghost drivers you don’t trust and leave the clean ones with collison on. Obviously this would only work for this mode.
This would enable players to drive however they want without affecting others, and would also give us the option to choose not to be smashable targets for others.
Since all car classes are allowed to mix in meetups, this could also help prevent faster cars from cannonballing through slower cars.
I think players should be automatically ghosted when:
If the behaviour stops, then the ghosting should stop after a few seconds. If the behaviour is repeated enough times with a certain amount of time, make the ghosting permanent for that session.
I would add swerving wildly and generally driving erratically, but this would be less trivial to detect. Might also be worth deactivating collision if the car you are about to hit is much slower/faster than yours.
You could also just give players the ability to ghost themselves at will, similar to GTA Online’s Passive Mode.
When driving in a Private Multiplayer Meetup, all of these rules still apply. I know it’s possible to force them off, but we never do that, the automatic ghosting works like a charm!
I think players should simply be able to choose whether they’d like to join a lobby with ghosting enabled or not.
Seems like that would split the player population across more lobbies, which could result in less-populated lobbies.
For some reason in every Hakone lobby, I’ve had people (mostly in AMR Pros) running thr wrong way intentionally wrecking people out, hitting them off of their lines and more. It’s an absolute shame we have people who’s only goal is to ruin the fun of people. Even called one out over the voice chat, and got a message later ADMITTING he’s there just to troll and mess up others so he can keep the fastest lap time.
I really thing ghosting will help prevent this. I don’t think we need it when the car is off track, however, as I’ve also had groups at Fujimi and Hakone respectivly sit off in a corner of a track together and just vibe together. And same thing at Laguna Seca, where on the final turn we had a lot of prototypes just sitting on the last corner off the track vibing together and that was one of the coolest moments I’ve ever had in this game tbh.
I think that if someone is running the wrong way, keep them visible but ghost them. Or do similar to qualify sessions where they’re fully visible until you get very close to them, and then they ghost out. And of course ghosted when pausing. Or even better: allow players to select as an individual player if they want to ghost their car out or not. Would help give choice especially for player who might accidentally hit someone when faster.
