I have Xbox GamePass and I purchased the $45 pack that gives you the early release, VIP, welcome kit, and 2 expansion packs using my Gamertag. My son who is the real crazed Horizon 5 player has his own account under our family plan and I want him to be able to play tomorrow and get ALL the free stuff using his account. Is this possible? I’d even totally be willing to pay the $45 again for him but is it possible / how do I go about it etc.? Thanks everyone, I did some google searching and it seems this has been a pain point before in previous launches and I’m just trying to see if there is a way to do this properly.
Yes it’s possible. But I believe he won’t be available to be VIP but he gets all other things like expansions.
If he has another Xbox that want to play it on that one, it’s a different case. You need to sign in with your account on his Xbox then choose that Xbox as a home Xbox in order for your son to play on that console with his account.
Well that’s a problem. I most definitely want him to have EVERYTHING including VIP, car packs, early access etc. Is it as simple as buying those things again in his account or because it’s the same Xbox we play on (different accounts under family) is it impossible. For FH4 he played under my account (only game he plays but he has a full chair setup, logged days of playtime over 3 years etc.) so I really didn’t get to experience the game properly for myself because I wanted to leave it to him to collect cars, barn finds etc. I want to avoid that this time (he is older) but I’m worried I screwed up buying the welcome combo pack under my account instead of his. Again I’m happy to pay again (this game and company is worth it, it will be hundreds of hours of entertainment.)
Early access is confirmed to work on Gameshare (same console if primary account set to home)
I am logged into my none home xbox and have a different account playing the intro on my home xbox
For FH4, VIP + Carpass etc are all shared though I don’t know if the carpass cars are accessable on a non home xbox once in the garage.
It’s just gone midnight in UK so haven’t played far enough to see what there is.
i only have one xbox, a series X, right now. it does have multiple accounts on it. i’m the primary account holder and then there are two family/child accounts in addition on it that we toggle between. does this mean it is my “home xbox” and when my son plays FH5 he should have VIP, carpass, the welcome pack etc. because I have it? I’m concerned only because I saw some imply that customer service said only EXPANSION PACKS, and the main game are shared. That isn’t a problem if I can just buy them again for my son’s account, but I saw some folks say their Xbox doesn’t want to do that claiming you already purchased it.
I guess I’ll know soon enough, just trying to make this all go smoothly if I can…
Yes from what I can see it shares all.
I checked earlier in another post and FH4 shared Car Pass, VIP, Expansions etc with other accounts on same console.
I have GamePass Ultimate + Premium add-ons bundle on my account only.
When I booted the second account with shared FH5, it said ‘Coming Soon’ on the Icon but when I clicked it popped up getting your game ready… then started.
Just about to get some sleep in UK, played through past the first showcase with lad, me on the Xbox One all Digital and my lad on the Shared (home) Xbox One.
On the main xbox (My Home) the other account has early access … played to same point and also has the car pass. I can select the FD cars (only in the last half hour on either account) and they are free.
