Good evening gentlemen and ladies.
First of I would just like to say any real advice is always welcome.
I have been playing forza horizons 2 since launch and made it a hobby of mine to buy a car that peaked my interest and hand tune it from that ground up. My focus is more on handling and precision than top speeds. I let the engine do its thing unless that specific car can reasonably handle more power.
Up until about three months before the release of Forza Horizons 3 (Forizons 3) I was tuning each car individually with relativly decent success. my cars had good turn in and adequit brake response but seemed lazy mid corner.
Until one day after autocrossing in real life I had a chance to talk to our bracet leader who drives a modified 2013 Corvette Z06. He gave me a tip on how he set up his suspension and dampning for my '15 focus ST and shed some light on how he went about corner balancing his Z06.
I decided to try his setup with a ZR1 in Forizons 2 and the results were mind blowing. I tried his setup on different cars with different weight distrubution and Drivetrains with the same results. It was at the point where I was blanket tuning every single differnt car the same way (Over 100 by Forizons 3) railing the inside of the most difficult corners (From niece to Casteleto) at speeds I was never able to maintain before.
Fast forward to Forizons 3 and Its all upside down now. I’ve literally gone to a drawing board to compare the differences in Turn10’s tuning layout between the two games. As I type this I realise the best step for me is to take two identical cars and tune them back to back in each game… If not a shot in the dark I should be able to figure out how different they made tuning in Forizons 3.
