Happens right at the start of a race or time trial when the lights go green:
If you roll off the line with the wheels spinning and quickly shift from 1st to 2nd with the wheels still spinning and struggling to grip the tarmac, the engine sound will cut out completely and then catch up in second gear as the wheels start to regain traction.
Happens in all high powered cars when you quickly shift from 1st to 2nd every time. Easy to reproduce.
When going from 1st gear to 2nd gear with the wheels spinning and as the tires attempt to gain optimal traction, the sound of the engine revs cuts out.
This happens to any high HP or boosted car. So if there’s enough power to make the wheels spin in 1st gear, the sound of the engine will cut out momentarily when you go into second gear with the wheels still spinning. It’s only when the wheels regain traction in second gear that the engine sounds returns.
I don’t have videos as it happens in all cars with enough HP to make the wheels spin off the starting grid. It happens only once though and that’s at the start of a race.
No, this is a different bug. It happens ONLY once at the starting grid when the race begins. Spin your wheels, and as you shift into second gear with the wheels still spinning AND then regaining traction, that’s when the engine revs go on vacation for a while.
All cars have a bog sound issue when starting a race seems like. In this car I shift to second and you hear it bog around 5500-6000rpms it’s like the sound glitches or something idk. But I finally got it in action. Hope y’all can take this info and find it and fix it. Again for all cars and randomly happens anywhere. Thanks
Another vehicle for example seems like same or close to same rpm window.

Were patiently waiting for a fix…
In my experience, this sound bug happens even when you are in automatic shifting mode. And yesterday I had the same issue with an AWD car. Unbelievable because it really had a lot of grip!
I wonder why there are that less comments to this. For me it is definetly annoying starting races getting that audio bug again, again and again
We have to keep upvoting this, people. It’s a terrible issue to live with when launching off the line and totally ruins the fun and pleasure of spinning your wheels and quickly going through the initial gears on the starting line.
Even if all your assists are off, it will happen provided the car is powerful enough to spin the wheels from 1st to 2nd. As soon as the wheels stop spinning and regain traction coming off the line, the engine revs become ‘unstuck’ and you get the sound back.
This is starting to be a nagging issue and reported since the game launched; would you be kind enough to escalate this please? @ManteoMax
