Happening to me and Iā€™m in quality mode on Xbox series x. I either sometimes start a race in reverse or I have 2 1st gears. Happens when I use csl DD or controller, makes no difference.

Seems like every race I have to shift twice to get from first to second, and when respawning start in reverse. This must be a cross the board. Send out a message and acknowledge it.

Itā€™s been happening to me, but it was mostly good yesterday. Today I plugged in a second keyboard and the issue came back. Disconnected it, rebooted, re-connected my g920 wheelā€¦. Canā€™t make it stop happening.

I got this problem since the last update. My Clio Williams '93 launches in Reverse gear at C600-Rivals and when returned to freeroam. This problem occured with other cars, as well.
Platform : PC-Steam. Ryzen 3600 + RTX 2070 Super.
OS: Windows 10 version 2004.
Controller: Logitech G29 + Manual shifter.
Game Settings: Manual with Clutch.

Can anyone help me out?

I use a controller and for some reason when I start a race with manual shifting enabled (with and without clutch) my cars always default to reverse gear at the start!! First started doing it yesterday while I was doing the weekly trail, very frustrating.

Iā€™ve not changed any settings and Iā€™ve restarted the game. Any clues as to what I can do?

Same. Just when I was thinking of buying the Rally add-on, now I have to wait. Itā€™s so annoying! Totally ruins the competition.
If you could prepare for the start but you donā€™t. You only get to use the gear when the clock starts and then itā€™s already ā€œlateā€. Really, really stupidly styled.

Seen a lot of responses saying having LC off causes the bug, I have it turned on and it seems to still be occurring (reverse bug in free roam, missed shift bug in races)

Try enabling launch control (I thought it was on, but I found it was off; I donā€™t think I switched it off because Iā€™d ignored it), but you may also need to use manual with clutch for this to work.

In spite of doing this myself, I can still end up in reverse after races, albeit randomly, and on random occasions after leaving my home. So far Iā€™ve been immune to the double shifting bug.

How did this version even get released with a bug this huge.

Sometimes I double up shift to get into first at the beginning of the race, sometimes it puts me into second. :see_no_evil:

I have. Manual, no clutch, trying to score some skill points in the oval; shift into 3rd to drift and suddenly Iā€™m in first again.
Couple of times it auto shifted me into reverse while stationary.

Gave up and went to play a different game

Having EXACT same issue. Double shift to get out of first and sometimes starting in reverse. This needs to be fixed ASAP. Anyone found a workaround or remedy?

Not only that every time you pick up an apex board it doubles the total xD what in the world is going on with this DLC? No wonder the reviews were absolutely terribleā€¦

Iā€™ve had this issue on the mouse cursor for quite a while. Donā€™t have any login issues and defo not a pirate game - bought directly from MS.

The whole reverse gear thing has only been happening since the last series started.

If you find anything interesting to sort any of these issues out, it would be great (the settings, TV, exit back to game clears the mouse cursor thing but not a fix, just a workaround for now).

Judging by your post stamp, youā€™re in the UK server base so youā€™ve got a long while to go before the sun comes up again. Happy hunting.

CSL DD and manual with clutch on PC, Chevelle up the mountain against highly skilled started me in reverse. tried with wired controller and just manual with same results. Most of the time in any event I have to shift twice to go into second when in manual but add clutch and it goes away - strange, and wonder how that input subsystem got messed up? let me know if you need more details, but enough folks have this issue that donā€™t report and just want it fixed
