This was recorded in test drive mode, but I have also noticed it in free play and Builders Cup:
- 00:26.176 clean lap
- /!\ 00:20.679 dirty lap
- 00:21.671 clean lap
- 00:18.614 clean lap
According to this
lap 2 should not have become the best lap and lap 3 should have become the best lap, but only lap 4 became the best lap. A clean lap should always be faster than a dirty lap, but is only faster if the actual time is faster.
The split times during lap 3 and when crossing the finish line still refer to lap 1 although lap 2 was set as best lap, but lap 4 was compared to lap 3 although it was not set as best lap.
Additional information:
I play on Xbox Series X in Performance Mode using the default controller. I have the Premium Edition on an account that is only used by me.
