First time Ive had this issue. FH4 and FM7 won’t load. I get some error message to check back later and check Xbox Live status. I dont see anyone else posting about this - anyone have any idea what is going on? I am able to access the Forza Hub, but I can’t load the games.
I just tried to load it and first it said that I needed to insert the disc (it’s a digital copy), then when I tried again it said I didn’t own the game (essentially). I selected “Help” and it said that it may be a problem with Xbox Live. I just singed out and back in again and now the game is loading just fine.
Hmmm…that is what it did to me. I logged out and back in, going so far as to change my password, so that it forced me out of the system and I logged back in without luck. Thank you for commenting.
I am doing a hard power-down right now to see if that helps.
Same problem here, then noticed it was downloading an update in the background that no notification popped up for. Check for an update in progress.
So, logged in and out, hard power down, still no good. FH3, FH4 and FM7 will not load. FM6 will.
I get one of two messages:
Try again in a while
Sorry, looks like our service isnt working right now. To check Xbox Live- blah blah blah.
Or
I get the longer message telling me to insert the disc and such. I cant actually get that one to come up now, just the first one.
Nothing in the queue, no mention of pending updates.
Update update: update finished for FM7, still getting the first message you’re getting, “Try again in a while” on both FH4 and FM7.
I just used the word “update” three times in a row. Made sense to me. I’ll shut up now.

Horizon 4 and Forza 7 aren’t workin for me, Black Ops 4 is working so it seems to be just the Forza games. I just want to play Forza tho so this is frustrating.
I’m having the same issues. I tried going offline and playing and it still won’t let me. I thought this game was suppose to be able to be played offline(not signed into xbox live)
Update-No games are working for me now. It’s a Xbox live problem

Yeah it was not working for me.
Same problem for me. The first time, I got some really long error code that I forgot to write down, then every other attempt I just got the “try again” message. I also tried getting into FH3 as a test and had no problems there at all. What I don’t get is why the FH4 relies on xbox live working right to even play at all. Wouldn’t you think it could just start in an offline mode and not access xbl features? That way, I’d at least still be able to do solo mode stuff.
I remember something similar happening to FH3 last year, and it took them several days to get it sorted.
Same issue here. Somebody tripped over a wire and now we can’t play the game. 
Hope they can fix it quickly.
