I’m having a problem when starting the game, it keeps saying “LOAD FAILED. An unknown error occured. Please try again later.” when i press A to start.

I got the same problem, pretty mad because I was able to play the game until the day one patch.
This seems to be happening to quite a few people
Same thing happening to some of us running it on PC - bummer dude !
Are you signed into Xbox Live with the same account in which you purchased/installed the game with? We’ll have a look into this.

Been having the same problem all day. I read somewhere that resetting the xbox app would help but that didnt get me any further.
Can start the game and in the main menu when pressing A or Enter it tries to load but then times out with the message load failed.
A couple of my friends are having the same issue.
Shame cause ill be missing out on the timed events i planned to do today.

ive deleted the local saved game to tey and get it to re sync with the cloud but no matter what i try, i cant get passed “LOAD FAILED. An unknown error occured. Please try again later” on Xbox one X
This is the first Horizon ive played and after quite a few hours , ive loved it, this has ,with all the timed events, could put me off for life unless resolved URGENTLY
I removed and reinstalled all 60GB of the game and saves
and still i have the same issue

A lot of people are having this problem on PC as well, hope there is a fix soon.
I posted the same issue in Forza 6 forum last July. I have tried every thing I could find on youtube. contacted Microsoft. Emailed Turn 10. No replies yet. 192 hours invested in the game. Glad I didn’t buy Forza 4 yet after seeing this post, I don’t want to waste time and money if it’s going to happen again. Maybe Turn 10 or Microsoft will read these posts and issue a fix. my issue happed after the July update. Maybe there is a bug in that update.
Yeah one x here and I don’t even get an error message, just crash back to dashboard after the turn 10/microsoft flyby. reinstalled 3 times, tried EVERYTHING else, nothing. Hopefully the update today fixes that but it says no xbox related fixes 
When i press enter it just says Welcome (Name) and then it says “Please wait” and after a while it says “Unknown error ouccured please try again later”. Im so mad rn Can someone help Please. (Im on Pc btw)

“Turn 10 does not care”
Still happening to me. I’ve deleted everything, reset everything. I’ve been able to play for few days after I reset the console, but happened again today.
I’m playing on the crappy Xbox One X. I say that because there was never a problem with my day one Xbox One and I played Forza Horizon 3 on that. But this happens on Forza Horizon 3 on the X as well.
To be honest, Forza is the ONLY game this has happened to. So FIX YOUR PROBLEM TURN 10😡

same issue, i have been able to play the game normally for about 15 days since january its pretty rediculous. amazing how fh3 was a better port and how i accepted back then their excuse ‘’ its our first pc port’'. Seems they dont know what they are doing.
