This is exactly what is happening to both my versions. I just tested on two different PCs. I payed $45 for early access and have nothing.
Iām running on a completely clean Windows install. Nothing but Steam, some games and the Windows Store.
i run avg as my antimalware, ive uninstalled all of theses and tried the game at a barebones state are still nothing, ive tried letting it threw every part of the firewall,
have notised while the game is doing the update and it says your up to date its also doing a shader thing in the background,
all i can see is that the expantions are down as owned but it slike its not installed, as i brough the primium upgrade.
also ive noticed that even tho the game is installed on my ssd and not my c drive the .gameroot file and xboxgames folder still get put on my c drive as well as my drive i installed on, wonder weather its conflicting, deleting them dont help
I am on the same boat. I bought the premium to play early. I dlād the game with the Xbox App on PC. When I launch the game, the first window comes up, it says signing in, syncing data, checking for updates and then launching game. the window closes, a new smaller window pops up for a few secs and then itās gone. No errors or messages. Have been trying to play this for the last two days. I tried uninstalling. creating a new user, etc. Iām on a i9, RTX 3090
had enough of this been troubleshooting this for nearly 2 days now, i dont know what else to try, feels like a waste of money now to get the 5 days early
I asked for my money back. Iām waiting for it and Iāll buy it when it comes down in price.
We got a fix! At least for my buddy who weāve been trying to get in the game for the past 3 days.
In short, he purchased the standard version of the game and later purchased the premium add-ons bundle. Because of a couple of error codes he received we suspect the game didnāt fully recognize that he was eligible for early access.
THE FIX:
REMINDER: Donāt ever share your login information with someone who you canāt trust.
For sake of clarity āSlow-manā is the guy who hasnāt been able to start the game.
Slow-man logged into a different playerās xbox account (who also owned the premium edition) and launched the game. It launched perfectly fine. Meanwhile, the other person logged into the Slow-manās account and booted up Forza, got to the first intro race, force quit the game and logged out of the account on the Xbox app. Then Slow-man signed back into his own account and launched Forza. And it worked!
Hope this works for others
I suspect this is whatās happening. I did buy the standard version and then the premium add ons bundle.
I found a SOLUTION for my crash (When I launch the game, the first window comes up, it says signing in, syncing data, checking for updates and then launching game. the window closes, a new smaller window pops up for a few secs and then the game crashes).
I had TestMode on on Windows 11. After turning TestMode Off, the game finally booted up. If you have TestMode on, a small watermark will appear on your copy of Windows.
How To Turn Off Test Mode?
- Press the Windows logo key + R to open the Run box.
- Type ācmdā in the Run box and press Enter.
- Type bcdedit -set TESTSIGNING OFF in the command prompt and press Enter.
- Restart your computer.
- Test mode will be disabled on your computer.
Hope it helps someone like me
*** You have to run CMD as an admin for it to work.
Same issue here. I already refunded the Steam version and re-bought to see if the Microsoft Store version would be any better. Iāve been working with the Forza support team the last two days trying various fixes and sending them log files from my PC. Iāve gone as far as wiping my Windows install and the game just crashes during the shader optimization or shortly after itās done.
Me too
Does your game now work
Also while offline fsr 2.0 crashes the game too, anyone else had this online?
the testsigning thing dont affect the your up to date crash, anyone had any luck cause this is stupid now
EDIT: Literally Failposted in the wrong thread, sorry
