Seems like there is an additional check after the splash screen for your region. Enabling Internet, start the game, disable Internet when at splash screen allows me to go into the freeplay only mode.

How about, disconnecting just for startup and then connecting?

You should actually read Microsoft ToS first before spreading misinformation. The ONLY Microsoft service where these things are a problem is Microsoft Rewards program.

it does not work, as soon as you connect back the internet it trys an update and crashes again.

Had the same problem as you, I used the “Gaming Services Repair Tool for PC” and to my surprise, that fixed it…

Ok so for me it depended in which country i bought the game. i bought the game in UK, so even tho i live in Slovenia (one hour before UK) the game wont let me play untill 1 am (splash crash). Now it works
one thing i noticed, which i think is strange and need more time to confirm this but i think the game crashes because of a network timeout. So let me explain how i arrived to this conclusion.
When i first launched the game, after the splash screen it crashed after i allowed it access to my Microsoft account (oh i am running the windows store version on PC). Started it again, it did not crash, got past the xbox game studios logo and it crashed when trying to “load my profile”. Attempt three, game kept saying i was not connected to the internet, allowing me to go offline, no issues but as soon as itry to go online again (game stated that i was connected again) it crashed. At first i was thinking it was a firewall setting or anti-virus problem as previous forza on pc releases had, but it could not be that as offline worked. This was when i noticed my internet was not so stable, my ISP was dropping the ball, i tried again and it successfully connected, after a long delay, but it got in. So, this morning, before work, i saw my internet looked good and stable, so i tied again, no issues, not a single delay, did not say i was not connected to the net, just smooth without issues.
this is why i think the game has an issue where in the event that it failed to connect to the server, it corrupts itselt and crashes during the timeout. This is only a hypothesis, i shall update this when i have more time to look deeper into the issue.

Do you have the Steam version??
AMD 5900X and RTX 4070 here.
Bought early access from Microsoft store, never changed regions, never tampered with VPNs.
Game loads, I get a screen with a car with headlights and then it dumps me to my desktop.
Installed on C:/ drive on a new Windows 11 install.
Deleted the game, reinstalled, same thing.
Never again am I buying early access.
So, I discovered I have two copies of Forza on my Windows Store: the deluxe and the standard. I also have the First day pass and evry pass I’d need to play. But - I can’t download the deluxe, only the standard, and nothing I do seems to help downloading the passes and the premium content.
The Windows Store is quite easily the worst store I’ve ever used. I should have bought this game on Steam.

I’m installing it on my son’s computer. Now I notice I have two versions of the game: the deluxe and the standard. I’ll uninstall everything again and install the standard on mine, and the deluxe on my son’s computer. I also asked for a refund. The Windows store is quite literally garbage.

Also getting this, have a bundle version and a stanalone, both just installs the standalone, when you launch the game it says your up todate an dthen drops me to desktoo and ive have tried everything, but pull the internet out and you can play offline mode just fine but is crap,
Anyone managed to get past this, as cant even use the 5 days early
Dont work, tried it, also tried deleting and making my antivirus ask me to permit access for the game and still nothing
