Anyone else having an issue on career where you confirm performance upgrades, it freezes, then sends you back to the start of the series?
At least 5 times on both Track Exotics and Prototype Power on Track Tour, i have had to redo 2 to 3 races after it freezing on upgrade.
Is it too hard for them to at least make career work after the rubbish upgrade system, without having to redo races over and over?

Every week I try this game again, only to leave disappointed yet again. Either tha career progress isn’t saved or I can’t buy a new car to start the next series, or an “event data not available” or some crap. Guess I’ll try again next year.

I tried to avoid the bug by quitting after every race and restarting the game before daring to upgrade for the next one. But eventually after a few races, even though I didn’t get stuck on an infinite loading screen, I lost the progress made in the previous race after restarting the game. It’s like each race just has a certain chance of not saving career progress no matter what you do.

Forza Campaign not saving progress after races. having to redo races multiple times over and over.
upgrades also still freezing and giving forever loading / do not turn off console message.
have now also uninstalled and reinstalled Forza motorsport and all dlc 2 times.

This annoys me the most of all. XBox reviews are full of complaints about it, Steam reviews are full of complaints about it.
And yet, this is still in the Report New Issues part of the forum.

The Game Still Crash when I want to Safe the Tuning in the Multiplayer Lobby. So I am not able to play this Game in Builders Cup or in Multiplayer. For 100€ this is a shame for Microsoft and Turn 10 , better I safe the Money for GT7 
Gameplay circumstances: (which car? which menu? which event? etc)
Any vehicle I have chosen has had this issue so far, almost all different career events suffer the same issue, sometimes it will rollback one event, other times it will rollback more, if I even manage to get more than one event completed before it gets hung on “Applying upgrades”. It does not matter what upgrades I apply, whether I use all CP or not.

nVidia RTX 3080 latest drivers 546.01, released 31/10/2023. Has been an issue on multiple different versions of GPU drivers, all the way back to early access.
Peripheral: (full wheel model name, last update drivers)
Thrustmaster T300RS, latest drivers. Not a wheel issue as have had this problem while using a Xbox Series X controller plugged into my PC
Settings: (graphics, Assists, Accessibility, etc)
Graphics set to Ultra, most assists removed/lowered, most accessibility settings at defaults asides from FOV.
Attempted fixes: (Have a Support ticket? rebooted, reinstalled, set settings to default, rolled back drivers, etc)
Rebooted, reinstalled, defaulted settings, rolled back Windows to older backup and reverting drivers. No difference.
Content Update: Was this happening prior to the most recent content update or did it start after the update?
Has been an issue since the first day of early access. Played for around a week and got sick of the issue so left the game for a month to give T10 a chance to fix it. Have come back a month later and the issue persists.
Anecdotally, I believe the issue is revolving around a server sync problem. This can be validated through various different methods of getting stuck, but all are getting stuck when trying to push an update on progress (whether that be a change to a vehicle, purchase of a vehicle, change of livery or paint, or even attempting to take a photo), it hangs because from what I can see the game is trying to post progress from something already, so the game queues the next update to be sent to the server and waits for the current in progress update to complete, because that current progress update is stuck (I would imagine this is something that you might be able to see on the server side end) it ends up hanging the game on any progress bar.
I understand this game is new and it was bound to have problems. It is however incredibly frustrating to make genuine progress, especially when I have the difficultly set quite high to make it a genuine challenge only to find my work from an entire practice session and the race to be gone and sometimes even more progress. Hopefully this gives you something to work with.

Forever loading after done the car upgrade and ready for next race. Got to kill the game n repeat previous race n upgrade the car n got this fxxk forever loading again.
As an AAA game… not shameful at all?
Redesign the game progress saving machinations.

This bug was closed as fixed, and ITS STILL HAPPENING.
It’s been a month.
It’s not just applying upgrades, it can be anything. Happened to me when simply trying to purchase a car earlier. How are the most simple things in this game this broken?

At its very core even. Why isn’t race progression saved after finishing the race? That fact alone drives me nuts. Who in their right mind builds a progression based game that doesn’t save after finishing a “level” or “checkpoint”. We’re not playing a rogue-like here.

Same here they said they fixed the issue and they didn’t. I like the Forza games but Motorsport has become a very bad joke. Playground games does a hell of a better job with Horizon. Don’t think I’ll bother with Motorsport again.

Yes this happens constantly and needs to be fixed asap!!! Where is this bloody patch for this!! They are letting everyone down and will wonder why people start uninstalling the game and downloading grid instead

I sincerely hope this is the case, it has been a week since I last played, I started the game and my first race I couldn’t save a photo so I closed out and uninstalled it because I just can’t be bothered otherwise.
I’ll wait for a week or two after update 2.0 to see if it still happens, its no fun being a paying product tester.

2 times in 2 hours stuck and send me to Xbox main menu, it’s occurred between races, and tuning but by the car menú not in race menu.

Trying to get that Audi before it’s too late, and the game loses contact with the server before the race at Nurburgring GP. Tried with 3 different cars.
Can save a photo in practice, cannot during start of the race.

Same, game hangs at the ‘loading please wait’ and all race progress is lost. Very frustrating, this is something that will make me give up playing.

Career doesn’t seem to save if you do 2 races in row either . I have found it saves if you don’t upgrade the car, doesn’t adjust fuel and then exit after you finish that race. Then restart the game.
Really annoying having to do it that way and kinda defeats the purpose of the fame.
