G920 race wheel

played forza 6 for a while now for the first time. one of my concerns is that the G920 wheel has a very hard brake pedal and in forza there is no option calibrate unlike project cars you can set brake pedal and overcome the hard pedal thru calibration. one thing for Forza7. So cant play the game in higher difficulty level because the brake pedal is useless.

How about setting deceleration outside deadzone to something smaller like 40 - that means less pedal movement is needed to achieve 100% braking. in FM4 I had done something similar to make the clutch pedal easier to use.

That’s what I did with my Fanatec V3 pedals. I set the Forza settings so when I push 60% on the brake pedal it applies 100% brake pressure.

The G920’s brake pedal is bittersweet. Suggestions above are spot on. I have my decel outside deadzone set around 60 - 70%

At low speeds it sucks, because to get enough braking force you have to push really freakin hard.

At high speeds the brake pedal is great, because you can stomp on the brake pedal and generally not worry about locking the wheels.

I’m torn as to whether I want to invalidate my warrantee and remove the rubber from the pedal to make it travel better.

What I did for my G920, is I took my pedals apart (voided the warranty, but I don’t care), and found there’s a rubber block in the brake pedal cylinder. I figured that I don’t need it, so I took it out. I now have full travel with my brake pedal now. What I didn’t realise at the time, found out in a youtube video, that the block is for force feedback in the brake pedal. But, I got used to not having the feedback, and I don’t have to readjust my deadzones.

But, I will warn you, yes it WILL void the warranty, and there’s a small chance, that if you don’t know what you’re doing, you could break something, rendering the pedal(s) useless.

There is no FFB in the pedals, all the bung does is create resistance. I have also taken mine out and would highly recommend others to do the same as it’s a vast improvement.
Don’t worry about breaking your pedals, it’s easy to do, just follow a YouTube guide if you’re unsure

No thanks I don’t want to void the warranty.

You aren’t breaking any warranty seals doing this and the bung goes back in as easily as it comes out but each to their own
