Hello,
Currently, brakes are too sensitive, and with just a small amount of pressure I can get close to 100% braking which leads to tires getting locked. I’ve set my dead zones to 0/100(they were 0/80 after the patch). I don’t know if the game uses a profile for different wheels, like making the G29 pedals more sensitive to compensate the rubber piece in there, but after some time, the rubber gets softer and isn’t a problem anymore.
A possible “solution” that could help is setting a profile for FM7 on the logitech gaming software, that way I could change the sensitivity of the pedals, but right now I can’t add forza to it, so it would be great if you guys could help with that.
Thanks.
Hi mate,
I’ve been using a Logitech G920 (with rubber stop) for a while now.
Forza likes to recalibrate the pedal when you minimize and reopen the game (EG go to home screen). It will place a nasty deadzone on the inside of your pedal, but leave the outside.
Let’s say your deadzone is 0/80 (example). When/if you minimize forza to check a message, play Spotify, do whatever, it will put a deadzone of around 12 on your inside pedal. So, the 80 travel that you USED to have, is now 68, and it makes everything super sensitive because it tries to measure the full travel on a limited deadzone.
To combat this, run an inside deadzone of 12. Personally, I run 12/70 on my G920 stock pedals, and it is fantastic. I would recommend starting at that point.
To save the novel… Set deadzones to 12/70 on the brake, and minimize/reopen Forza to get the real calibration. This issue doesn’t affect any other pedals.
I am happy to take footage to demonstrate what I mean, if that helps explain it a little.
Any queries, hit me up on Xbox.
EDIT: I could have this completely wrong/false, but to my testing and knowledge, this is what happens and this is how you get around it.
With 12/70 I’m reaching 100% brakes before I even hit the rubber in the pedal lol. Wasn’t expecting it to work since it going from 100 outer to 70 would make it even more sensible.
If anyone on Turn10 could simply help with adding FM7 to the logitech gaming software, this issue could be solved probably, since you can adjust the sensitivity of the pedals.
Create your own Logitech profile setting for Forza7. YOu can create a custom profile setting for any executable.
I just said you can’t. The .exe is inside a protected folder.
