Hello hello one and all! Welcome to my Album thread for all things Forza Horizon 3 in terms of what pictures I take.
So a little about me, I’m your average insanely random, randomly insane Welshman who likes to take a few snaps in Forza’s games since FH2. I started the whole Screenshot/Picture taking thing in the Halo series, but decided to move onto Forza as well, as the established community here is awesome and the challenge to take great pictures is much greater.
I’m nowhere near an established great Forzatographer, with no victories or accolades to my name, but I try to be active and add more to this community whenever I can.
Anyway enough prattling on, let’s get on with the pics! Scroll on down to see.
Great start randomly random stranger, the force is strong with you, I think u have much potential, the Peugeot shots are great I just think from an overall standpoint a little fiddling with the aperture and color/sepia will push your photos over the edge…with that said can’t wait to see the next upload, cheers
Thanks NV! No luck this time as the initial quality form everyone is already staggering! Those two were a good challenge to get done with enough brightness to actually see the details.
Thanks Pebb! I was a little uncertain on which way to go in taking that shot, I was a little worried the car might have become more blurred if I did ramp up the shutter speed, but next time I try something along those lines I’ll go again to see if I can master this style.
The force is strong with me? Yes. Good. I will join the Dark Side of making pictures…
-ahem-
Thank you for the compliments MasterAlphaBeta! Aperture and colour has always been my downfalls so I’m trying to hone my skills a little mroe onto that, hopefully this next set will help out.
Got quite a few this time as I’ve been a little busy in the past week. Brace yourselves.
First of all, a couple of funny ones some of the FTC have seen after a convoy I started went horribly wrong on the beach, where apparently “carwrecking” is a thing:
After that, I rolled out my favourite car at the moment I gotr from the Ultimate Edition, the Ferrari F12tdf, rolling through the jungles and a little fun parking up to try some still shots:
Not too happy with these two, but the haze was a good challenge and I tried to catch the odd sun-f;are just beneath the Sun in this one. Reminds me a little of Tattooine with the two Suns actually now that I think about it…
As the dawn rose later, I came across an SLS AMG that looked fantastic in the morning glow whilst in a 10 supercar convoy and tried a group shot, which I don;t often do.
My favourite from your latest set is this one. Even if it is a shame, that a car near the top right snuck one of it’s rear lights into the top right hand side.
-An oil powered lantern shines warmly through the cobwebs and dust as a man appears and searches for something. Finding an ancient power switch and with a grunt of effort, the switch is lifted and a spark of power flashes, the Gallery restores itself from the mists of time-
Well damn, 3 months since I last posted here, time to get back into it! Crimbo’s been and gone, I’m now a homeowner and many other moments that have sucked me away from this game and posting my work here.
So in that time, I did help out in the All Cars Project for FH3 and experimented a little with the cars I’d chosen. So, here’s the first set of 3 to catch up on what I’ve been up to since October:
And that’s it for part 1, I’ll likely post Part 2 in a day or so.
Thank you Desperado! I was having serious trouble trying to get a good shot of the Stratos for the All Cars Project, but then I managed to make that piece and I knew I’d found the right one finally! Only took me 8 hours of playing and trying to take photos of it…
But here we are again, this time with Set 2/3 of me coming back!
This time there’s a handful more from the All Cars Project, with the rest being from experiments and general relaxing with taking pictures in-game:
Getting a good shot of the Astra VXR was a surprising nightmare, but in the end I opted for a bright spot whilst cresting a hill to give it an appropriate look for the ACP:
This shot of the Huayra was purely accidental during a race, but seeing the sunset going down I wondered how it;d look and damn am I happy with it:
And a couple of Pumas, when 343i asked for pics of them:
And finally a couple more night shots:
And that’s it for part 2 of my return! Hope you enjoyed looking through them. The last part of the return set will emerge in the next day or three so stay tuned!
You have chosen a good angle for this shot. But due to it’s current zoom I feel you have wasted a good opportunity and here is why. In my view the shot would of turned out better if you decreased the zoom as well as tilting the camera a little bit more to the right. As well as those two suggestions, I also think panning the camera in the postion of the top right hand corner might of resulted in a more pleasing layout. Other then those thoughts one more thing must be said. Hopefully your next goals in life are going to plan.
Thank you very much for the critique Pebb, I appreciate that a tonne! I think with that shot I was a little constrained in the angle and zoom I could use on the piece, as there was a sunrise just away to the left of the car and had I gone any higher, then the lighting completely changed and washed out the car and feeling of speed.
The next time I’ll run one of my high speed cars down the runway I’ll definitely give your suggestions a try though and see how it turns out.
Thank you once again. Hopefully everything will chug along smoothly for me, 2017’s going to be a very interesting year.
Hey Mr 17 good to see back round these parts
Great job on your all cars shots, think the venom has be my favourite, nice lighting and the Williams shot is really cool also
Look forward to seeing more from you
