Wow, now that is some high praise! Thanks NV, the idea was to go for that photo-realism effect and it seems to have come out very well.
The NSX certainly has been a popular production from me it seems, the car is just far too photogenic, especially on my beloved Spa circuit. Hopefully I can make some more unique shots on that track in the future with some new cars. Thank you both.
Thanks Morc! The Kemmel Straight at sunset with the open background is superb to get some shots when I’ve tuned the exposure some.
Right, so onto the belated second photodump, including a winner of the Gladiator Comp’s first Round!
Starting off with some photos I took in a Mixer Co-Stream with some other FTC members a month or so ago, featuring the 911 Strassenversion (sp?) around Yas Marina:
Wasn’t too sure about this first one being a little too dark, as my screen is a bit deceptive when taking photos, trying to frame in the line above was tricky too, but I’m happy with how the composition ended up.
Felt these three were simple, yet effective and very clean, which is what I wanted in these shots with the 911. With the shot below however, I’m not too sure if I added too much sunglare, but I like it regardless:
And with that, onto a set featuring the Honda CRX on the Top Gear circuit in the wet. I tried to get some retro styled shots in this one, alongside trying to mimic a photo that Snooty took for Forza 6’s All Cars Project in my own style dressed in my retro styled livery:
I did have another shot of this at a more severe angle, but I preferred this one more, trying to get the car’s reflection in full beneath it as well on the damp circuit, pretty happy with the muted styler in the end.
And onto a few more randoms with the LMP Mazda and some experimentation in the last two shots:
So last but not least, these were the photos I worked on making for the Gladiator Comp in the first round, which my subject was a Porsche 911, I decided to run with the 2016 GT2 RS on Yas Marina and made as few experimental attempts on some photos before settling on the black and white shot that managed to win the voting round before I was knocked out in Round 2 by some fantastic efforts.
Thus here was the winning shot and the subsequent experimentations prior:
And that’s that! Apologies for the rather large photodump this time, a lot to cover in a month. Should really work on being more active here in the Forzatography forums.
As always, any and all input/comments/criticism is welcomed!
17 out.
