friends drivatars wreck me all the time like on purpose .

Same, I actually deleted a lot of friends because they were ramming me off :))

While the idea for the drivatar was a great concept. The execution has been severly lacking. Its like Turn10 brought the online crashing experience to the career mode. No matter how clean I drive, I get wrecked at any chance the AI gets. Completely clean passes turn into spins because the AI suddenly cuts across track to clip my bumper or even ram into the side of my car. Somehow, straightaways turn into heavy braking zones for no apparent reason.

I have continued to experiment. I think rdo3 may be right that I’ve increased the laps enough that I’m passing at proper points in the course. I’ve learned a lot about that on a few courses.

Still, I’m not convinced. Today during a race on the second lap I tried to pass a drivatar going into a turn. I realized I wasn’t going to succeed and hit the brakes. On lap 3 going into the same corner I tried to pass the same drivatar. I had the advantage and the drivator backed off and let me pass. This was a friend drivator I new to be aggressive. I was amazed it let me pass.

I’ve also noticed the drivatars aren’t ramming each other as much.

I’m not sure what is going on. The only thing I can say is that racing this way is more fun.

I don’t have a problem with friend drivatars wrecking me but I have a major problem with friend drivatars starting at the last positions in a race and staying there up until the last couple laps when they just fly past me like they are doing 500 km/h. It’s like they don’t have brakes but they go smooth around corners and if they go off the track they shrug it off as if it were nothing. It gets impossible to catch up to them. I can be completely dominating everyone else in the race but one or two friend drivatars will be far ahead.

If you turn on your line you’ll notice that the drivitars like AI in previous titles will fallow it for almost the entire race especially the leaders. So if you’re between them and that line you might get hit. My issue with the drivitars is how they’ll nearly stop at a turn no matter how easy it is to navigate even without braking.

There was a patch to tone the drivatars down and make them similar to other forzas. The original post was from early 2014 when the actions of the drivatars were unpredictable. It was worse than online play at times.

Good training for the “real world” though. I can’t count the number of times I was wrecked into the wall to go from 1st / 2nd down to 8th / 12th in a span of a split second last night.

If real racing were like Forza racing, a lot more people would watch, and drivers would never make it to the finish line (because real cars will stop running after being plowed and flipped over a dozen times).

What Drivitar level are you playing against? One thng I’ve noticed, the higher their level the better they drive and you get a bigger purse at the end.

I have a number of friends I race with. Quite a few of them race like they had one too many Jäger bombs. I moved those racers from my friends list to my favorite list. When I do this, there drivatar does not show in career races or there lap times on the friends list. This is the best way for me to get rid of crazy drivatars.
