During race setup in the advanced options, add a dedicated option to set player starting position when playing against the AI.
For example, to allow the player to start at the back for a greater challenge.
I personally find this a fun thing to do and enjoy starting at the back and working my way up. It’s enjoyable to do this too whilst experimenting with different upgrades/tuning setups.
Seconded. Crazy that the system actually exists, but not in free mode.
And I thought I just didn’t see the option to set the starting position. But that the option is missing is pretty bad
Can you please allow players to pick the starting position just like in career mode

I’ve been wanting this feature since FM6.
Challenge the grid is a very good system. MUST be available for free play racing too! 
It’s not like the credits are anything special from 3rd to last. Just add it so we can quickly select last place instead of having to max PI and hope for last
Let us choose our starting position on the grid in freeplay. Would be even nicer if we could choose the AI’s starting positions as well.
