@RetroKrystal I’m ready to admit I have a love-HATE relationship with this game. I’ll tell you this, if they ever add in ghost ranked i’ll never go back to the current solo adventure, just like i’m not going back to team adventure.
Over my last 10 matches I had managed to win 6 straight rooms and thats no easy feat. Three 2nd place finishes then six 1st place wins, then I get to the most recent room. My chances of winning were extinguished in the very first race because ramming is such a major issue. I was rammed out of the checkpoint TWICE, once at the beginning and once towards the end. Needless to say I finished last in that 1st race and you know what, that last place finish costed me the overall win. I ended up losing by 3 points.
Its unfair to those of us who race clean. It really doesnt matter how clean you race in this game, someone will still find a way to ruin your experience. As I said before, I dont mind losing but it really really makes my blood boil to lose because of someone not braking for a turn.
As with every other post on the subject as well as mentioned by forza staff multiple times…
They are working on and doing testing and adjustments with the fix.
Like many I stopped playing this months ago. FH3 was near perfect. FH4 is not. At this stage all I really want is full class based rivals like it was in FH3. I want a reason to keep playing and right now I have none. This was a huge waste of $140. I wish I could’ve gotten a refund but by the time I discovered just how bad it was it was way too late. I won’t be making that mistake again. Microsoft are as much to blame for this abomination as PG are. They want everything to be games as a service. They want to cater to casuals. They want a constant stream of end game content instead of simply making a good game. What they want is going to kill franchises when their loyal fanbase turns against them. Something that is already happening with Forza. I have owned every single Forza game ever made but unless PG make some real efforts to listen to complaints and fix them then this will be the last Horizon game I will buy. I will give T10 another chance because of all the work they’ve done to fix FM7 and gain players trust. PG can still do that but I think it’s pretty obvious at this stage they won’t. I want them to prove me wrong but I just can’t see that happening.
how is this trash game still not fixed??? #1 FIX THE POINT SYSTEM it gives 0 to 10 points for winning… and 2nd place = lose points??? who did this are you not listening to what we say
top 50% should gain points and last 50% should lose and you should never have a game where you gain 0 to 10 points from getting first place… id rather not play that trash game so fix this trash code cause its not working and we cant play cause we gain 0 points from winning so its not worth playing
#2 REMOVE FREE ROAM RUSH nobody wants this trash its rng and has nothing to do with racing
#3 REMOVE WALLS you say this is to help bad players you completely ignore how its just a tool to cheat
and i have 0 trust in you changing the game physics its just gonna end up being trash and its a waste of time
#4Should also consider turning off collisions? or start handing out bans
#5 add real ways to que for games like queing no collisions? or specific class or specific road or rally
sorry to say it but doing cross country or freeroam rush is not the same game as doing road and i rather just alt f4 then be forced to play this trash i don’t want to play
just cause you made something does not mean we should be forced to play it we simply don’t enjoy this so stop forceing us to play modes we don’t want just allow us to play what we want
some enjoy a class ohter enjoy s2 or even x class and only a small % might enjoy cross country so stop making the majority play this trash mode that nobody wants to play
#6 Fix STREAMING CAPTURE ISSUES
#7 FIX RIVALS with all classes
#8 why is the car selection filters so trash just allow us to put cars into rally or road or winter or cross country just like favorite?
i have no chance to scroll pass 60-90 cars within 20 sec in (convoy) and even in ranked? its 40 sec? no chance at all just fix this trash
Last night was definitely one of the times I hate the game. Couldnt find a clean room to save my life. Turned it off early, so I wouldnt go to bed upset. The low ranks definitely gun for the top. Me and another guy were targeted in multiple races. He’s like a 3300 rank and i’m almost back to 3000.
And i’ll just throw out a guess…Godtik’s favorite word is trash…
Many times you lose points for winning(-1,-2,-3) in ranked FFA,if you have more then 3250 points. This points system in ranked is very disappointing and frustrating.
I did one last night and almost everyone just quit once it was clear they stood no chance of finishing in the top 3. Only 3 of us left by the last race.
So I finally bought Horizon 4 after playing Horizon 3 alot (mostly free roam) only to find out that there is no free roam in Horizon 4.
How is this a thing? They took the most fun part of the whole game, and removed it? This make absolutely no sense at all.
No more drag racing, drifting partys and other fun stuff. Im sure Im not the only one who want it in Forza Horizon 4, and actually considering just playing Horizon 3 instead eventhough Horizon 4 gives new cars, places and routes.
We need multiplayer FREE roam, so we can have fun again just like we did on Horizon 3.
The “no free roam” actually made me go to this site and make this post. I played the game for a solid 3-4 hours before even trying to go into free roam only to find out… it doesnt [Mod Edit - Abbreviated profanity, profanity and profanity that is disguised but still alludes to the words are not permitted - D] exist.
Don’t you lose even more points if you quit? That’s why I always stay till the bitter end, just as a damage limitation exercise. Points are so hard won once you get to the green ranks that you could lose points in just one round which took you several decent rounds to amass.
If there’s some knack to quitting early and not losing like 15 points I’d love to hear it.
You definitely lose more if you leave early and/or if your connection drops. I am guilty of quitting rooms but its rare. I prefer losing those 20 or 30 points to save my sanity. I feel better earning them back over 4 or 5 lobbies. A typical lobby takes 20 to 25 mins. I had one case I quit a S2 dirt room during the first race as I was gonna place last, with those 2 or 3 points on the table, there was ZERO chance of top 3. Immediately I found another room, won that lobby and only lost 10 of my rank. At the end of the day its just a game and my mood is more important. I see no advantage in being noble and staying in a room ruthless dirty drivers. Imagine how much more upset i’d be if I stayed til the final race, its not worth it to save those few points, save your temper.
For those who dont play everyday like I do, i’ll give you a little cheat sheet. If you place anything lower than 5th in those 5 events you’re probably not gonna win that lobby. I work with numbers all day, 82 is usually the magic number. I say usually because you may face someone better than you and you’d need more than 82 to win that lobby. I wrote down what points you get for each spot you place and 5th is worth 10. So however you wanna add it up, 82 is the safe number UNLESS someone in that lobby is better and you may need a few more. Just start paying attention to the finishing table and you’ll see what I mean
Just out of curiosity did you get angry or irritated with other games in the Forza series or did it start with H4? Or is it just that H4 is far more irritating online in your opinion?
I stopped playing because the frustration level was head and shoulders above the fun factor and as you mentioned above mood is far more important then hanging in there just for the sake of it. Gaming is something I enjoy and while I did enjoy certain aspects of H4 albeit for a short time, the online and rivals was always going to be the end game for me. With one being intolerable and the other stripped I decided it was time to move on. I just play H3 now and I enjoy it immensely and look forward to playing it as if it was the new Horizon game. This is mainly because I always played on Blizzard Mountain and being that it’s dead now I’m on the mainland learning the tracks on there and building/tuning for asphalt which I never played at all before. It’s still my least favorite terrain but I’ll take it over anything H4 offers as far as multiplayer.
I’ve been back playing FH3 for few months now, I don’t even remember last time I loaded up FH4. I’m star level, more credits than know what to do with, and all the cars I could want. While I continue to play as competitively and cleanly as possible I don’t really care of the outcome. While I mostly race Aston Martin I’ve enjoyed just pulling new cars to the forefront and tuning and racing them. While there are still a few rammers here and there it is nothing like in FH4. I don’t let it bother me tho in FH3 I’m just still there enjoying the cars with no pressure to win with an attitude of “Ends justifies the means”. I have immense patience for many things in life but FH4 multiplayer is very trying on that patience with it’s toxicity, and from what I’ve seen on ranked the point system is so convoluted I don’t even care to attempt it. I have some club members from FH3 that are setting up some racing this weekend and I agreed to join them as it will probably be the only way I’ll race in FH4. With a group of known players who respect clean racing and racing etiquette and after that I’ll go back to FH3 and watch the forums to see if PG even attempts of mentioning a small hint of fixing this huge folly they’ve dumped on us.
I think you might be onto something. Its never been as high as it is with this game but its probably because its ranked and I wanna make it to the very top. FH3 upset me from time to time but nowhere near this game. I hated that people can get DNF but still win because they drifted the whole race but I still figured out a way to win those lobbies. Clean racing but on the drive to the races i’d rack up insane points that i’d have a cushion. I didnt like BM, Hot Wheels island was more of my scene but even that got old and I went back to the mainland.
I really really really enjoy this game when doing the seasonals but ranked has me close to breaking my controller. Instead i’ve started slapping the wall when I get that upset, the pain actually helps the anger subside quicker rather than sitting and fuming. Its sad to even type that here but its the truth. It is the only game I play, so I keep coming back. I have to keep my mind racing or else i’d just sleep all day.
I know the feeling. When you are good at or like a game you naturally keep pushing forward to get better at it and climb the ranks. Eventually for me though I come to a point where the frustration starts setting in if I feel the game is rewarding players who are creating a negative experience for others. The toxicity in the ranked racing is the equivalent of quickscoping in the COD games. While one is just people being ignorant and the other is a broken game mechanic they both create a negative experience for a lot of players. I guess since I’m getting older I have come to terms that if a majority of my time playing a game is an experience that brings more anger than joy out of me I should probably find something else to play.
As much as we might have griped about it, I actually think the scoring system in FH3 helped promote clean racing. Those drifters that got DNFs, but still won championships, did so because they had to race clean, which was much more tolerable that the wallriding, ramming combat we have in FH4.
You know i’ve never thought of it that way but you are absolutely right. I guess if there was some way to find a balance. Skills while winning would be nice. Maybe the finishing table could stay the same but we probably should win more if we pull off high skills and/or clean racing during the 5 events
I was saying this all along but so many people attacked me and said that the old points formula was terrible because drifters who never finished a race could win the championship. I emphasized that while this was possible it wasn’t a big deal because the game didn’t track championships won, it tracked races won. And if you came in 2nd in the championship you won $28,000 as opposed to $30,000. Who cares about 2 grand? You get that in a wheelspin and you’re mad but suddenly it matters in Online Adventure? Also you could counter the drifters very easily in most cases by beating them at their own game. Race fast, clean and win the regular races and go nuts skill chaining to the next race event. Easy peasy. There is no counter for anything in H4 besides fighting fire with fire and becoming the type of racer that we all hate in here.
