I’ve been painting up a storm trying to get the achievements to no avail thus far. Getting pretty frustrated about it because I have quite a few overall usages but haven’t gotten a dime so I thought a thread to market my work was in order.
First up is a Historic Trans Am Fantasy Livery for the AMC. I made a Hot Wheels logo for the quarter panel of a Dan Gurney Cuda replica. I spent some time on it but on the AAR it was pretty small. I wanted to feature the logo in a livery. I knew how I wanted to do it and just had to find the appropriate car to start with. The front fender of the Javelin was perfect. Getting the Hot Wheels logo to fit on the left side of the car required a good deal of additional work but it turned out pretty good.

I just created a thread in the replica livery section containing the Banner Engineering Grand Am Pontiac scheme on various Pontiacs. This is the first of many fantasy race liveries I’ve created that are inspired by the giant manufacturer’s logo on the quarter panel of the Banner Engineering cars. This one being the Fiat Abarth Punto Super Sport.

Next up is the race livery version of something I’ve used quite a bit without the numbers and contingency decals on other BMWs. This is the M6 coupe done up as a race car. In doing this one I end up with the BMW M logo backwards on one side of the car. This is something I’ve experimented with a bit as I applied it to various models and would love to get some feedback on. Do you like it backwards on the left side? Or do you like one of the other examples I’ve posted after the M6 here? Or maybe you think I suck at this and should just give up at life, that’s fine too, you’re free to think that, it doesn’t bother me if you do, LOL.

Also have the M6 up with just the M logo and no numbers or other decals. The M1 is up in the same manner.
2003 M5 with the logo not flipped and the roof stripes fade to transition from side to side. Also have a 2002 done up in this manner but in gloss white with grey wheels.

E30 M3 in gloss white instead of matte and wheels that match the M color instead of black.

Now for a couple of LX platform Mopars. First up the Challenger.

A twist on that Challenger

And the Charger

Do you like the Challenger’s hood or the Charger’s hood better? Blue and the extra white stripe or is the black just better by being cleaner? Should I do them up with numbers and other decals?
More to come later. I’ve also got a LaFerrari, 250 GTO and a 458 in a couple of colors. I just did Foyt’s 77 Indy car in David Pearson Holman Moody colors. I have an Aventador and a Muira up. The Maserati MC12 done with the Maserati trident down the side of the car kind of fast and furious style and more. I’m just kind of tired of taking pictures right now and want to go race.
Ferrari 250 GTO

Ferrari 458 - after looking at this one more in taking pictures of it I think I will be doing some updates to it to clean up the black lines. But here it is now since I took pics and it is shared already anyway

Lamborghini Muira

I also have an Aventador with this scheme on it.
I will get everything I have done posted eventually.
My last mass update. Finally got everything photographed
2013 Ford Shelby GT500

1969 Dodge Charger

Also have completed the 1979 Chevrolet Camaro with the flag wrap. Will do any American car with this on request.
Maserati MC12

Lancia Stratos

The flag cars have been getting a little bit of love. So I have duplicated the flag wrap design on the 2009 Chevrolet ZR1, the El Camino and the Ford GT. More will be done eventually as I continue to do cars and I will still take requests for flag wrapped cars if anyone wants it for something I haven’t already done it on.
Additionally, I shared a '65 Mustang with the Holman Moody scheme similar to the '77 Foyt Coyote Indy Car above (Post #7). Pics to come when I get a chance.
The cars I wanted to paint aren’t helping me get the achievements. So here is a car I see being used more and I believe is a leaderboard car for some classes.
The '65 Mini Cooper
titled and description as Hot Wheels

I also did a Ferrari F50 with the “Prancing Horse” livery similar to the above LaFerrari and 250 GTO. Pics to come later.

Some very good designs on here mate. All look very clean. Good work!
If your painting just for achievements your doing it for the wrong reason.
These cars are mostly classified as race paints.
Nobody is going to look twice at your thread unless you give them love, its courtesy.
Decent stuff with some clean logo work, just try to avoid stock fonts and also it’s not good practice to spam paints on many cars.

I’ve been slightly confused on the etiquette of a race paint that is not a replica of a real car and a fantasy race paint. To me there isn’t a clear distinction on which forum I should be putting a fantasy race design in. I also likewise get a little confused on where a replica non race paint should go. For example, the Griswold Family Truckster and the Border Patrol Raptor I did (that I believe I put on the old forum, I should post that again here in the new forum). Those two are replicas of something but they are not race cars.
Should I be putting non-replica race cars in the race paint forum? Do non-race replicas go here? I’ve actually considered making a thread to ask these very questions.
I’m not necessarily painting just for achievements. Some of it can be enjoyalbe. It is quite a challenge figuring out how to recreate some logos and designs given the ridiculous shapes we have in the design editor. I like a good challenge. I run each and every one of my paints too. That’s why the M6 became a race car beyond just having the M logos. I like racing with cars that look like race cars. As far as spamming designs goes, as long as it works on the car it goes on I don’t really see the issue? That said, the achievements are providing some motivation as I have all the other achievements from Foras 2,3,4 and all 5 achievements besides the money for designs and a few of the long beach ones I don’t have because I’ve been spending my time painting.
In any case, for today since this thread is already chugging a long here, some new additions.
I think this was a hilarious idea, maybe I’m wrong. French cars with french fry liveries
The Ore Ida Citroes DS3

Ore Ida Renault Turbo 5

Previously mentioned F50 Prancing Horse design

American flag ZR1 mentioned above

The Holman Moody Mustang mentioned above was enough of a race inspired replicaish desing that I had actually already posted it in the race livery forum instead of here even before reading what was going on here.
The Border Patrol Raptor. That Homeland Security logo on the door was a monster! This is actually the original usage I created the American flag for. It is also found in much, much scaled down form on the Trans Am series decal on the front fenders of all the replica/fantasy trans am liveries I’ve done.

Nice gallery 4CT, looks like your stepping up your game! keep it up man!
I’ve definitely been working hard at expanding my logo library. I’m sure you can see the gradual transition from stock manufacturer logos to home made logos. The flip side of that is using logos from the right era on the right years of cars. Getting caught up on some modern logos. The old school Competition Cams logo is next on my list to knock out. Back in the Forza 2 days I had made a pretty awesome rendition of it. Hopefully I can figure it out again. It is mostly for a contingency decal but I love the logo so if it turns out good I will certainly be designing a livery around it.
Some nice paints mate.
Must pick up the Hot wheels mini next time I’m on.
Thanks again for race # help.
