Found Manual Clutch Grinding Workaround

In case you gave up on using manual w/ clutch because of the annoying grinding sound, the grinding only happens on the standard Logitech G920 layout, no matter what deadzone settings you use, it always grinds.

You have to create a NEW layout (I’m using “Custom Wheel Profile 1”) and map all the buttons and axis yourself, and also set a sensible clutch deadzone (I’m using 10 inside and 85 outside, try other values, the deadzone magically works now) the grinding sound should FINALLY go away.

Let me know if the problem persists for you.

Doesn’t work for my Fanatec CSW v2.5.

I’ve been using Custom Wheel Profiles from the start, so this is not a fix for me.

I have been looking for the manual/w clutch option but haven’t been able to find it. Having the Fanatec CSW v2.5 I would like to check this out and see if it works for me.

I don’t understand. Manual w/clutch is located in the difficulty menu.

I tried making a custom profile for my controller once and it wouldn’t let me because there are less buttons on the controller than there are “required fields” to save the profile. The default keybind schemes combine commands. That’s not allowed in the custom profiles. Even if I tried to make a custom profile identical to default, I would lose functionality.
