“After all, every car in Forza Motorsport 7 features a full Forzavista experience, allowing players to discover each car’s unique characteristics in exquisite detail.”
Does this mean every single car will have full detail, engines, trunks, rear doors etc openable? Or is it like Forza Motorsport 6 and Forza Horizon 3’s “full” Forzavista where roughly half the cars have this level of detail, and the rest only have the front doors able to be opened?
TransAmConnor is in the right here, Forza is my favorite game, but Turn 10 straight up deceived people previous Forza games. The wording of the announcement simply stated that all cars are in Forza Vista, and they added detailing to the engine bays of TWO cars. They did not say that every single car has a modeled engine bay; its not unreasonable to be skeptical.
That being said, Forza Vista is amazing when the experience is complete, spent plenty of time in FH3 last night checking out the trophy trucks, sad to say it looks like those beautiful beasts might not be in Forza 7
Forzavista is great when it works, I love it! If they really did go all out for 700+ cars that would be amazing. Especially now with the “new” details and maybe other things.
I miss our original experiment with Forza Vista (I forget what it was originally called) where we had commentary by the Top Gear crew. It wasn’t a generic paragraph about Ford in general or Honda in general, but rather commentary specific to each model. Bring that back. It doesn’t have to be the Grand Tour crew, though I’d love that, but tell me about every car. Don’t just let me open the doors and hunker down to look at the headlights.
Here’s the trouble with ForzaVista now, there’s just so many damn cars. Having FULL ForzaVista features (Engine, hood, trunk etc) for 700+ cars is a huge projects and it’s the same with the generic line for each car. Having a paragraph of speech for 700 individual cars would be insane work and unfortunately I can’t see it happening as much as I’d like it to.
I get where you’re coming from, but this is the third iteration of Forza on the XboxOne. So they have had six years cumulatively to be developing these full autovista experiences. Bear in mind that almost all of the DLC cars had fully explorable Forzavista experiences and some even had unique dialogue. IMO since Turn10 has not revealed very much in the way of new content yet so far and release is a month or two away I would expect every feature that has been “ported” over from the Horizon and Motorsport titles of the past to be improved. 700 cars to develop forzavista experiences for when they already have somewhat detailed interiors and fully detailed exteriors in six years is not asking too much here.
I take everything that developers say with a pinch of salt… I have only bothered with Forzavista a couple of times… i think there was a cheevo for it. Personally i’d rather see the time spent elsewhere in the development of the game.
Yeah building off what others have said I think maybe they should go back to the old way and maybe do forzavista for premium cars. Say like the laferrari, 918, and p1. More rare type cars like the Ferrari 250lm and BMW 507. Then exclusives like koenigsegg regera and Shelby gt350R. There’s hundreds of cars they should do full vista on but not everyone deserves one. Like a civic or ford fiesta. Then use that extra space for more features in game.
This time Forzavista is terrible, literally zero information pops up, not sure why the “i” exists. Voice overs are gone as well, very boring. They should look at GT Sport and maybe learn how to do proper showrooms. Forzavista could’ve been great, especially with the X out now, in glorious 4K, but nope. Speaking of the X, not sure why replays are still 30fps, quite ridiculous that they are not in 60fps for the X.
Forza vista is useless. I’ve never used it on any forza. I would like different showrooms, preferably one with lighting better than a cave or active movie theaters.
The quality of Forzavista is my biggest gripe with FM7 at the moment. FM has previously billed itself as the game to play for car enthusiasts who want to appreciate the vehicles they’re driving, and Forzavista is a major part of that!
I’m playing FM7 on PC, and am pretty new to the series, but even FH3 gave a far better quality experience in this regard. I know some people have seen improvements in how well the main menu runs since the last patch, but for me it seems to be locked at 30fps, while only gameplay raises this to 60fps. Clunking around my cars at 30fps is no fun, particuarly when the garage environment they are in is too dark to see any interior detail! What happened to the ability to choose your Forzavista venue, as was the case in F6 Apex?
I know the graphical issues with the last couple of Subaru’s from the speciality dealer have been widely discussed, but these are just a few of the more extreme examples of car-specific bugs. I’ve seen animations clipping through car models, including gear paddles clipping through steering wheels in a number of places. A real immersion breaker! The lack of a door opening/closing sound effect when using the ‘explode’ command is also quite annoying!
Didn’t want to start a whole new thread for this, but hopefully T10 are working towards improving these issues. I realise there are all kinds of problems that need attention right now, but the quality of features like this really make or break the game for me!
