[EDIT: ForzaVista in the new Forza Motorsport turned out to be even more downgraded so this suggestion is still valid.]
ForzaVista was significantly downgraded in Forza Motorsport 7 in comparison to the two previous games in the series.
We’ve lost the ability to look at several points of cars: gearbox, headlights, wheels, dimensions. Therefore also the amount of technical data shown to player is reduced.
My suggestion is to restore those points in the upcoming Forza Motorsport. I love looking at wonderfully modelled cars from various camera angles and learning some interesting tidbits of information about them in the process. It’d be also a perfect way to showcase the beefed up next-gen graphics
Disclaimer: although voiced descriptions of manufacturers are missing in ForzaVista as well, restoring those isn’t necessary IMO. Text descriptions of particular vehicles would be better (see this suggestion for reference)
Agreed. We now can’t look around in the interior anymore which means we also can’t start the engine anymore!
ForzaVista should be improved with every new title, not stripped down.
With its introduction in FM4 we should now at least:
Have free look in the interior, not limited to a little bit from side to side
Have free movement outside of the car too
With Photo Mode we should be able to zoom in as far as in freeroam, and move freely in and out of the car
Full exploding view for each car
FM4 had little bits of info with some cars. I’d love to see that return, ideally for all cars (but I get it takes a lot of work with over 1000 cars in all of Forza)
Forzavista was the one thing that set them apart from other games in the genre and in my opinion made forza the best option for me. I loved turning lights on,turning the engine on and checking my mileage so I would love this returning to its former glory. Facts about cars unless they get jeremy clarkson to do voiceover can just be text.
One of the biggest allures of the game to me was being able to sit in the drivers seat of a hypercar and look around in good detail, it was cool and immersive, now it feels cold and static and and afterthought
no engine reving, no turning on lights, no looking around when seated in the car,
