Forzathon not counting races

Is anyone else having issues with Forzathon being inconsistent?

I just finished the one to win the Jag and it went fine. Now I just did the 120 in a Belair at Homestead but it didn’t give me credit. I actually went 130, but it didn’t count it.

Does anyone know what causes this? 'Tis a bit frustrating.

If you restart the game it will probably trigger. Mine hung up like that earlier today. Sucks, but I will usually restart after each challenge to get them to register.

It shouldn’t happen but there is often a delay in updating the Forzathon progress bars and sometimes the awards procedures fail. It’s probably due to poor coding.

There seem to be three ways to correct it. In order of least inconvenience these are:

  1. Always choose next race after an event rather than quit. Keep monitoring the progress bars on the race/forzathon screen and if necessary complete the next race. You’ll get CR and XP for the next race so the time isn’t totally wasted. I usually do the next race exactly as the game chooses, some players alter the number of laps to 1.

  2. Press the XBox button once to go Home on the console, bring up the menu and quit the game. Then restart the game.

  3. Quit the game, reboot/restart the console and start the game again.

Although the events in a challenge need to be done in strict sequence order, you can do the first event in challenge 1 then the first event in challenge 2 etc. This is what I did for 120 in a Belair at Homestead.

Thank you for these answers. I’ll check to see if the progress bar caught up when I fire up the game again tonight.

75 % of the time i have to kill the game and restart to get it to update when it fails, even if i get the M$ pop-up that i got the achievement.

I’ve never had this problem… Even since the first Forzathon. I just simply setup the next event… And when finished simply just do a free race or career race and once completed it always deliver the prize. Sure it doesn’t register always if you back out the event once completed and look at the advancement but it is recorded and will register after the next event.

Just saying!

I just keep pressing “next race” and change the event details to suit the challenge and do them all until all challenges are done
Between 4 events at least 1 of them has moved to the next event
If not just do a random 1 lap race but i have never had a problem yet
