Definitely, seeing how you stack up against other players on the older forza games really helped me improve and was a great community driven feature. Really hope this can be brought back

I was planning to do a mobile app for it so that you can check the LBs while you are away, including notications if someone beat you, special filters etc, but yes there is no way to access the data. I tried reading the xbox traffic what it does when calling a LB and I’m a IT specialist, but not exactly a network specialist so I couldnt do much with it. But someone who has idea about that could get the data this way.

Would most packets be hexadecimal? I’m not a network specialist either. Or was there just so much that you didn’t know what to sift for - but is it encrypted, etc… I have to say this is a really interesting way of going about the problem.
I know what you mean and yes it is better, but I have asked multiple times and didn’t get an answer so I tried on my own in the past. But you’re right, I was just a bit desperate until now about it, but this thread looks good 
Well they are hexadecimal. But you know what you see. You can convert what you see into hexadecimal and search for it. But as phredesign said an official access way would be much better.

Honestly to you folks, I would hold off on doing workarounds. You risk getting that entry completely shut if you do get it to work.
I was the person who worked with Tchak in the past to make sure he got what he needed to create his data sets and I have presented him a person to contact. Whether or not that will be fruitful is beyond my knowledge but having T10 knowledge of what the intentions are is a much better way of conducting this then doing some backdoor access data scraping.

I enjoyed the leaderboards in the past too. They gave me some indication of my progress once I had regained almost 100% use of my hand and was able to shift manually, comfortably.
Of course I wasn’t anywhere near the top, but I was happy with my goal of being in the top 10% on all the boards. That was my motivation, and the surgeon who repaired my hand told me that the game may have actually helped me to regrow and retrain muscles. I like to think of it as an advantage., a clean slate with only one training plan…drive faster in Forza. It must have worked, because I am finding myself in the 1% - 3% spots in Forza 6.
I hope this gets done. I appreciate the folks who have the knowledge and desire to create things that benefit the entire community. It what makes the Forza community exceptional, in my opinion.

Tchak, hope you get get this back and running again! Know it was a huge help to many a racer (even me once in a while!)
Hope T10 can support this and give the community something back its really missing

It’s good Friday and easter weekend. Highly doubt anything will happen now or next week.
As much as I support this and would love to see this happen, In my opinion this is something the franchise is wanting to get away from. I can only assume they would rather us play their “leagues”. I wouldn’t be surprised if in the next iteration of Forza if leaderboards are completely deleted.
I gave proof to T10 team members of drag racing leaderboards existing, but “hidden” in forza 6. Explained how they were able to be seen, and what did T10 do… They took out the ability to be able to see them via a “undocumented patch”… They wouldn’t “unlock” these leaderboards, and they definetly wouldn’t talk about them here on the forums.
I guess documented “hot lapping” doesn’t necessarily fit into T10s vision of Motorsport.

Won’t happen, they remove leaderboards then they go back 15 years and lose a massive proportion of their userbase to other titles.
Gran Turismo 6 didn’t have general leaderboards and still had very high concurrent player counts. It also meant that the Lobbies were quite varied, as there were no widely-known leaderboard cars for everybody to latch on to.
I would caution the community not to take these features for granted. If you would have posted in the forums back in the heyday of forza 4 that overall leaderboards, drift leaderboards,drag leaderboards, web leaderboards, community features etc… Would be gone in forza 6 I’m sure you would have been laughed out of the thread… Here we are 2016 forza 6 these features all have been blasted away.
Petition regularly for leaderboard functions in forza 7…!

I learned that when FM3 came out. The features you thought that no way could they take that out… they took it out.
The Forza series is defined just as much by what gets taken out as much as what get puts in, and the list of whats bbeen taken out would make a decent game on its own.
Most of what people think was so great in FM4 was already in FM1. It took 6 years to car clubs back. People forget how much was in FM1 and how much was left out in the transition to the 360 and FM2. I dont want to wait until FM8 to get back what was in FM4 only to then repeat the cycle when FM9 comes out on the Xbox 1(2).
I do think that leaderboards are safe. But never say never about everything else I guess.
Wow I was mad when they removed the in-game tournaments in FM3,
Weekly tournaments, or even on a single day (Sunday Challenge) completely hosted and done by the game without having to manage anything yourself.
I’m actually quite shocked that removing leaderboards is even getting discussed here. There are some huge wrong forces behind the scenes who push this game to the wrong direction.
I appreciate a lot of stuff they are doing but often it doesn’t seem that I do because there is nothing to discuss in sections where everything is fine. I love drivertars and how paints/tuning are integrated easily for everyone to get in the game for example.
Another thing I had in my mind for the leaderboard API was to host custom time trials on websites and you can show the live standings, to do a qualifying for later rounds.
Say S class COTA full, 100 gamertags signed up on your website and it shows the lb filtered with just these gamertags on it.
Leaderboards are already starting to move away. Drag & Drift leaderboards are gone for a start.

In FM2 there was overall, class, real world tracks, fantasy tracks, trueskill, career, exhibition and time trial.
In FM3 & 4. there were drag, drift, oval, P2P, picture, vynal group, livery, director, tuner, and club.
All gone now.
So the trend isn’t looking good, but I don’t think they will get rid of them entirely. I really, really don’t want to be wrong.
