i am so sick of the forced upgrades in career mode, and not showing event restrictions.
The best forza was 3 when it comes to career mode, best forza when it came to cars was 4.
THE BEST PART OF THE GAME WAS ALWAYS BEING ABLE TO UPGRADE THE CAR HOW YOU WANT TO, IN ORDER TO FIT INTO AN EVENT!!!
Unbelieveable… This is why i havent been buying them on launch, forza 5 i played so little because it just punishes you, and stupid auto forced upgrades. Now 6 at least the cars feel better but career is still dumb.
And how many games have they made since drag racing came out, 3? And they still cant put a tree with red lighting and reaction times.
They dont care about true car enthusiasts/forza enthusiats, all they care about now is popping games out yearly to be like call of duty which also sucks.
It shows how they dont care about the players when they take cars out of the new game that were in the last game. I mean it was already designed, and im not talking about super rare cars, but that was what was great about the series, all the common everyday cars, and so on to mode and beat up on super cars, to take a car that was terrible stock and make it competitive.
Yes guys i know that i can back out of career and buy the car stock and modify it. But its still stupid. Every game before 5 didnt try to force auto upgrades down your throat.
You can also buy the car from the career menu and then when you tune it, you can press the Back button (or whatever its called on the Xbox One) and choose Reset All Upgrades to get the stock version.
It’s available where applicable. One of the things T10 has done is lined upgrades up with how they would be executed in the real world and I guess in the past they allowed you to do as you please with just limited upgrade transferred effect to the car. Today things are move realistic in a virtual environment that mirrors physically based materials. I’ve only been onboard since FM5, so I can’t speak to the past, but IMO, 5 and 6 are great racing games that allow for amazing upgrades and tunes to cars!!!
I believe that would be car dependant. I have the centrifugal sc on one of my miata’s I think. I did notice that not all cars can have that one though.
Lol. They could scrap career mode altogether and I would be perfectly fine with that. Playing against terrible AI has never been very interesting.
There’s a few dozen things they could fix/add/improve about multiplayer though. That’s where the games can get people playing for the long term and build the community. I really wish they would focus on making multiplayer great again, or at least a lot less broken.
OP is spot on about one thing. Drag racing is just terrible in Forza, but especially in FM6. Seems like it wasn’t even half of an afterthought in FM6
Im surprised about people not aggreeing, i guess you guys didnt have forza 3 or 4 when it was in its prime.
From forza 1 to 4, everything didnt seem forced. I could junp around in the career instead of racing the same car 4 times in a row(except for chanpionships). I could hop around and keep it fresh.
I had a lot more options of cars to pick for each event as well.
Yeah i just got forza 6 for black friday, so i havent used a lot of cars yet and so far havent owned a car that allows you to install the centrifical supercharger. Last 2 games you could do it on almost any car. Which i agree isnt as realistic, but if you look at how american cars are now a days, mustangs, camaros, vettes modern and old, in real life people fabricate and run either of the forced induction options.
Main thing im saying is, lets pick a new mustang gt, you can install a roots style supercharger, a turbo kit, pr a centrifical supercharger, all are available as kits.
Anyone else find it amusing that people expect the game to simulate an actual race environment, and then complain about said environment?
NEWS FLASH: if you were an actual race driver and competing in an actual race series, you’d be driving the SAME car every week. The number of cars you had to pick from for said series would be extremely limited as well.
Getting bored in the span of five or six short races is another sign of today’s society, extremely short attention spans…
Also no description under the parts you pick. Luckily i remember the middle grade tranny upgrade allows for rear diff gear adjustment although that doesnt make sense, but its been that way forever, i guess it just makes it easier to change gear ratios being on the same screen.
I agree with the others that upgrades are not forced but you are correct in that its 100% ridiculous that during a particular career race series you can’t change cars unless you Exit and restart or ‘continue’ the series. You have 10 cars that qualify but I’m stuck in one unless I back out? That’s dumb. The other dumbness is the seemingly arbitrary PI requirements in career. Where did they pull these numbers out of? Why not a PI of 700 instead of 685 or whatever? It’s just senseless. And, last point of dissatisfaction… when downloading tunes we can no longer see if its rear wheel, front wheel or all wheel drive. That’s great…
