In the last time I read here a lot of threats where users describe problemes with their savegames caused by sync-problems with the cloud (syncing takes long time or shows error).
At the Microsoft-support-site there is written, that you should close the game in the dashboard and only thereafter the console syncs the savegame with cloud - what could take its time I think.
So I’ve thought about it and I think that the solution to the problem could be to simply close the game in the dashboard after finishing it and wait a while until everything was synchronized.
Can this be the solution?
Does the sync-problem occurs often?
What do you think about it?
What you state about quitting the game after you return to the dashboard is certainly one of the things many of us have been suggesting for some time now. In all of my years of Forza gaming, I’ve never experienced a data loss or failure and the thing that remains consistent is that when I am done with my Forza session, I quit all activity, back all the way out to the title screen (or in Horizon 2’s case, I return to single player mode, ensure the save icon is not displayed, and hit pause before closing the game), and return to dashboard. Now, unlike the Xbox 360, the Xbox One does necessitate one extra step to completely quit a game and that is to hit the menu button on the game’s dashboard tile and select the ‘quit’ option.
I’m not saying this is fail-proof; but, clearly Forza’s history with gamesaves on the Xbox One has been tricky and the only way to be sure you’ve done all you can to avoid a problem is to be proactive and carefully quit the game after each session. Things do appear to be looking up, however, with few claims posted on the Forza Motorsport 6 boards.

I personally don’t think one has anything to do with the other as I have a nice sized XB1 library and the only time I ever saw the syncing data message is in a Forza title. I exit every game safely through the exit to menu followed by closing via dashboard.
This has nothing to do IMO with making sure one closes the game properly. I did that EVERY TIME since I got the game. I am now stuck
