I think I have figured it out by myself. Simply go race in the special Rivals event for Elite Cup and the special League event for the Open Cup. If you make the top 128 it gets more confusing, but I am not expecting to do that. I am still unclear if you have to save the replay after every race for it to count.
Wish I wasn’t a racing driver irl sometimes, my Saturday’s aren’t free during the summer. 
Will try to participate when I can tho, and congrats to TX3 Laige in advance for winning the Focus

I signed up for the Open Championship. Although the prizes will be a kick in the teeth for those who bought the expansions and car pass. And why doesn’t the Open championship have some method of giving players the chance to win Horizon 3 or an Xbox?
If you took part in the MLG 1v1 qualifying tournaments you would know that 1v1 works really well.

How do i see if i am actually signed up correctly ?
It takes a little time before you show in the players list.
As long as you added your Gamertag to your Gameaccounts then you should be good to go when it kicks off.

Can we only play the qualifying series on the 8/8? I’d like to get the car for setting a time but i’m on holiday as of tomorrow, will I still be able to get the car when I get back on 21st?
If you participate only in week 3 you should still get the 1971 Ford Falcon XY GTHO Phase III – with a custom ForzaRC Open Series livery that will be unique for that week of competition.

What about track limits for Rivals qualifications?
Monza for example can be still cutted quite a lot, and it’s unfait and not realistic at all. Will there be penalties for track cutting or not?

I too would like to know. While I appreciate that the cut detection on Monza is well off the actual track limits will ESL/Turn10 watch all the qualifying replays and ensure that there is no corner cutting, or do we just accept that it’s based on what the game decides is a “clean” lap
I would really appreciate an answer as I’ve already set a time without the traditional Monza corner cuts but I know I can get 2 odd seconds if I do the “legitimate” cuts
Hmmm… I’m not sure what’s going, everybody (and the advert) says the 8th, yet ESL CLEARLY says the 28th. It also says my next match is in 23 days, 4 hours, and 20 minutes…
