In Forza 3 you had interesting trivia tidbits to read about the history of car companies, people, and motorsports. In a way you offer a little of that in forzavista, but I thought it was cool. You should maybe have more info history page for each track. In the next game.
My idea:
the usual race class B or class A. But you come into the lobby with his car in this class, and the game randomly changes the cars the players with each other.
It is the exchange of wives) you drive at someoneās carefully tuned car , And on your favorite car drive someone else. In this case, all equal conditions, as each player set up his car carefully. And all the cars competitive.
A random change of car will surprise you with what you will get an unexpected car make, model and coloring.
Itās amazing to see your car in the hands of another player, itās an interesting competition
in my opinion - this is a cool idea
When I take a photo of my car to share the design or etc, about the stupidest thing is being prompted to tell it what king of make/model it is as well as location/track.
These are all variables that should have been passed to the subroutine so we donāt have to tell the system what it should already know.
So hereās a list of ideas Iāve thought of for a while or ideas Iāve heard from others and itās a long list but I do believe everything below would make this the best racing franchise out there. Also some of these suggestions are in Horizon 2 so youād expect them to be in Motorsport 6 but just to be safe, Iāve included them.
-
Please improve the tire smoke, when drifting or applying the brakes it looks like the smokeās 10 feet behind the car.
-
Implement both dynamic time and weather systems.
-
Improve tire wear to be more realistic and where you can actually blow a tire.
-
Increase the maximum number of laps that can be set in a circuit race.
-
Add the option to paint engine bays and change the color of the interior as well as tint headlights and taillights.
-
Add more customization, nothing crazy seeing as how this is mostly a sim just some more body mods would be appreciated.
-
More tuning options such as being able to change the pressure on each individual tire and etc.
-
Bring back fun game modes like soccer and even add new ones like capture the flag or something for online and private matches.
-
Please only send me a tuning reward message for when Iām actually receiving something and not when someoneās used my tune in the past 24 hours, or perhaps pay me ever race my tune gets used in.
-
Release a Forza Rewards App for the XB1.
-
Release a companion app for IOS and other devices, theyād be plenty of features that would be possible such as being able to view the vehicles you have, tuning them, even being able to turn ur device into a GPS or a speedometer, or being able to see telemetry settings on ur device while running a lap for tuning.
-
Possibly increase the maximum number of drivers instead of it being 16, the more the better in my opinion!
-
State which tracks are fantasy tracks, like Prague or the Alps, and which are realistic, perhaps have them in 2 separate categories?
-
Remove Micro-Transactions, personally I have no problem with them however I do dislike how one of the challenges on the reward page is too purchase tokens, and I feel as if it hurts the game negatively more then it helps it positively.
-
Add Support for VR headsets as they come out, for instance The Totem is an upcoming VR Headset that would be eligible. Also would be nice to add support for new devices as they come along, such as the Control VR (which is a system that monitors hand movements, this would be useful when shifting and steering and would just make the experience that much more immersive), or devices that are already out like the ButtKicker from Simxperience, or just improving the functionality and the accuracy of devices that already work by designing there SDKs specifically for the game such as the KOR-FS Gaming Vest, which is something thatās coming out soon and they will be releasing the SDK for developers.
-
Do not do any form of auto recording using the GameDVR.
-
Others may feel different but I would rather not have any Kinect Support and use the extra 10% of GPU power towards the game, however if the Kinect could be implemented in a cool way then do it, the head tracking feature is not useful in my opinion but unique to say the least.
-
Give us a Notification whenever one of our friends beats our record time on the leaderboard and list the track, course, and class he did it in via the message section on Forzaās main menu.
-
Make the on screen wheel match the rotation of the wheel weāre using, instead of just being 90 degrees as it is now, for those who use a gamepad allow them to be able to change the rotation of the on screen wheel if they wish.
-
Add support for a triple monitor setup, like the one at E3, for those that are willing to do so.
-
Add more viewing angles that can be used while driving such as a helmet cam, for example the one in Project Cars which is like the regular cockpit view but with part of the helmet and visor visible, sounds more muffled, and defocus effect and rain drops on the visor when driving open wheelers would be nice detailed additions for the helmet cam and I think the cam would be useful especially for VR users. Also would be nice to have another cockpit view that doesnāt show the wheel or the hands, perhaps a little in front of the wheel so you can still see the dash, something like in Drive Club,
would be very useful for those who already use a wheel and donāt want a wheel on screen or perhaps give us the option to just remove the wheel/hands, Iāve seen that option in some games as well. -
Be able to sort cars better, perhaps adding categories that we can name and create and then store cars in those such as a drifting category and etc, also add ācars not ownedā as a filter option for the buy cars section as well as a price filter, for example cars that only cost up to $60,000.
-
Upgrade the theater mode by letting us take a full game replay and cut it down to one or multiple small clips, and allowing a free camera mode where we can record any angle we want, and the ability to remove the theater HUD. Lastly the ability to save clips and replays from other people.
-
Add in the option to sell cars and maybe even to gift them to friends, as well as being able to gift credits.
-
Add a ācontact usā section to the main website supplying those in need with an email address that they can send an email too to resolve any issues, and it wouldnāt hurt to update the āmost popular questionsā under the support section for they all deal with Forza 4 or Forza Horizon 1, I had to contact the FB page just too receive an appropriate email address for help.
-
Make it to where you can see DLC cars when youāre playing online, currently they appear as a black, unrendered car. If youāre going to show the cars in a trailer and let us see them in the store and see drivatars driving them, why not let us see them online? It just takes away from the immersive driving experience when you see a floating, black, car with no detail thatās supposed to be a van.
-
Add a ātotal carsā count somewhere, in the shop perhaps, for those of us who are just interested in seeing how many cars are in the game.
-
Add the telemetry view in replays, would make tuning slightly easier.
-
Make tunes carry over from special edition versions of a car to the original, for instance I have the MTN Dew limited edition '12 Camaro ZL1 and today I bought a new '12 Camaro ZL1 cause I got tired of the MTN Dew one but the 4 Tunes I had for the MTN Dew one does not carry over to the original so now I have to go through and copy all my tunes over by hand, very time consuming.
-
Would love to be able to upload my own music into the game and play it while driving or even on the main menu, perhaps through Xbox Music or USB? Iāve also heard that The Crew will allow players to listen to real radio stations live while driving, not sure how, but that would be also very impressive if itās true and if Forza could implement the system as well.
-
Be able to upgrade the rim size of default rims.
-
Upgrade the damage modeling to involve more realistic damage.
-
Be able to search for designs across all cars, for instance I can search āJeff Gordonā and all Jeff Gordon related designs would show up then I can buy the car that has the best looking design.
-
Add wind as a factor, perhaps even take records from that track on multiple different occasions and find the average wind speed and directions and implement them and then set them to change during the race.
-
Add the ability to open the hood and view the engines of all the cars and open the trunks as well.
-
Add windshield wippers, which if you add weather then Iād assume youād add these, would also be cool to have turn signals and emergency blinkers that we could turn on/off and maybe a horn, might wouldnāt be a big deal for the motorsport series but would be cool to have these functions in the next Horizon and if implemented in the motorsport series as well then Iād appreciate it, would be even better if we could roll windows down during races and such since itās hard to see out of tinted windows plus itās more detail, the more details the better since it makes the experience that much more immersive, and if you do horns please take the time to record just a few audio samples of the horn from each car.
-
Make simulation damage turned off during live tuning. Also maybe add the ability to host private and public live tuning lobbies where you can live tune vehicles with your friends.
-
Add a way to report crashers and look into these reports and punish those that are found guilty of unsporting conduct, maybe banning them for a certain amount of time from multiplayer depending on how many times they get caught or make them only get matched up with other crashers for a certain period of time.
-
Add a Platinum medal for First place, I love the medal system because currently it keeps you fighting for positions, no matter what position youāre in there is a chance you could one up the medal you currently have except for when youāre in 3rd or 2nd, then youāre just fighting to keep your position, thereās no motivation for 1st place.
-
Possibly add a mode where you can reenact special moments in motorsport history, seeing a lot of games do this now and could even add moments like breaking world records, like for instance getting to drive the Hennessey Venom GT to become the fastest production car.
-
Make other bumpers and spoilers have adjustable aerodynamics, on some vehicles Iād rather not use the Forza branded parts.
-
Add in the option for a random track to be selected by the game in a private lobby, find it annoying to have to decide on a track myself sometimes or ask everybody in my lobby which track they want.
-
Be able to use the controller to look around while using a wheel, noticed it when I was trying to show off a new car to my friend, would also be cool if they could make it where we can go from using the wheel and pedals to just using a controller to race without having to unplug the wheel or having to restart the game.
-
When applying a part that negativly effects your car, make the red numbers a bit easier to red, donāt know if itās just me or what but theyāre hard to read.
-
Add a way to bring up the grid to see whoās in what positons, would be very useful for online to see where your friends are at, perhaps make the back button (or technically now the āviewā button) and when clicked it pops up a slightly transparent grid or something of that nature and then click the button again and it disappears.
-
Make the numbers a bit easier to read when using the telemetry, find it hard when tuning springs to read the numbers when thereās a very bright background.
-
Native 3D support for both 3D active and 3D passive TVs.
-
When I unplug my wheel and plug it back in, all the deadzone settings for it stay locked but the wheel rotation angle changes back to 900 degrees every time, please change it to where the wheel rotation also stays locked.
-
When simulation damage is turned on, make it affect Drivatars as well.
-
Add Nitrogen air in the tires section as an upgrade from regular compressed air.
-
Increase the max number of Designs and Vinyl Groups that can be saved.
-
Make a tuning section where you can view all the tunes you have saved, I shouldnāt have to buy back a car I deleted to delet the old tune I did for it, have a feeling this feature would lower the amount of bad quality tunes as well. Would also be awesome to be able to see how many downloads all my tunes have together and how many downloads each specific tune has all in one interface, same goes for designs.
-
Add a ātotal garage valueā and car count stat somewhere in your garage, would be fun and interesting seeing how much value our cars and parts that weāve bought add up to and also add a car count to the game to show how many cars are avaiable in the actual game, would be nice when telling people bout the game and such.
-
Add native dual play for TVs with the feature, forced dual play looks terrible compared to games that have support for dual play like Call of Duty and Minecraft for example. Also online split screen would be a good idea.
-
Add a spectator mode, would be great for hosting tournaments and those who donāt feel like racing but watching.
-
Increase the maximum number of layers for designers.
-
Add accurate mileage to each car and make the upgrades have an affect on them, for instance if you swap a V6 engine with a V8 have the mileage go down.
-
Be able to watch peopleās replays from the leaderboards, something like Trials Fusion.
-
Possibly add a track editor? Would be a long shot but it would be very unique for a car racing game if they could add a good track editor for people to create new tracks and mini-games, would also increase the playability by a ton and just look at the success games like Halo or Trials has had thanks to track and map editors.
-
Be able to select Vehicles for the Drivatars, for instance maybe you can select 4 or 5 cars from the game that you only want drove and the drivatars can only play as those and theyād of course be around your cars rating. Would be very useful for those who play offline but want to have fun with all truck races, classics only racers, Nascar races, etc.
-
Be able to share or gift vinyls.
-
Weight Reductions should have a physical affect on the car.
-
Include all the different variants of the tracks in the career races, not just the full versions of the tracks.
-
Add a filter in the leaderboards just for the vehicle youāre driving or have selected, would be useful to see your fastest time in that specific vehicle and would give you the ability to say things like āI have the fastest F-150 Raptor on Pragueā.
-
Let designers and tuners be able to see who has ālikedā there designs or tunes and be able too see all there shared tunes and designs in one spot and compare them with number of likes.
-
Allow players to be able to completely remap the buttons to which best suits them.
-
Would honestly love to see more custom lighting options like wheelbase lighting, engine bay lighting, underglow kits, and interior lighting as well especially if they add a day to night system to the game.
-
Be able to customize your driver, change his helmet and hands as least. Be able to take off his helmet and gloves or be able to equip different styles and brands of equipment and also have everything be real life equipment like Sparco or Alpinestars.
-
Do not have the install upgrades menu pop up when trying to load a tune that you already have all the parts for, just wastest time.
-
Get rid of the glitch where you can rewind no matter where or when and by how much, it always resets any cracks in the windshield or window.
-
Add in a Drive Swap feature, especially for endurance races.
On a side note Iād love for them to add a Forza Motorsport app to the XB1, and maybe 360 if possible, where we can keep up to date on all the news from motorsport events and watch races live and on demand. Also would love to see more Forza merchandise, would love to own a pair of those Forza driving gloves the driver uses in Forza 5 or maybe some Forza decals to add to my rig, also wouldnāt hurt to release a couple Forza wallpapers and such for people to use for their computers or phones, and would help give the series a bit more promotion. Obviously I expect them to make adjustments as adding more cars and more tracks and improving the physics ever so slightly, would personally love more focus on some other types of racing like go-karts, dragsters, and even stock cars so we can do our own Nascar designs and more Nascar tracks as well. Iād like to personally thank Turn 10 for caring more bout quality then anything else, they took a lot of hate from only having 200 cars and 14 tracks at launch but some people just donāt understand that when you completely redo the physics and graphics engine from the ground up for the new hardware that you have to redo all your materials and models as well so you guys did a fantastic job with both the game and follow up DLC and updates. Lastly if you guys have any other suggestions or just wanna say whatās on your mind then feel free and if you guys wanna race together sometime on XBL then add me!
Iām new to forza 5 Iāve been playing for about 2 weeks and honestly I have buyers remorse. Donāt get me wrong as far as driving and looks F5 is leaps and bounds better than F4 but as a whole F4 is so much better and that makes no since. It upsets me because I bought an xbox one just for F5 and i searched and searched for the limited edition F5 and I was so stoked when I finely found one and I wasnāt bothered one bit about the amount of money I was dishing out just so I could play F5⦠$600 including DLC I figured it was money well spent since Iāve had endless amounts of happy hours playing F4 but sadly thatās not the case. I understand turn10 was under the gun with the deadline because of the ones launch date but itās been almost a year now why havenāt they at the least added the features we had on F4? This buyer feels that is unacceptable games should go forward not backwards I shouldnāt be missing F4 I should be enjoying F5 well on 2nd thought I do enjoy the game I just wish it had the cool features 4 has. Improve not removeā¦lol
I would like to thank the peeps at turn ten for the gift cars they send that is very cool. And Iām sure 6 will right the wrongs of 5 I hope anyways.
Iām a bit more of a newbie than you are. I just got Xbox One and FM5 5 days ago. I donāt really have buyerās remorse because having Spa, Bathurst, and Long Beach are worth a lot to me even though we lost Suzuka. I had reduced expectations going in just from reading these boards ever since the game came out. But youāre right in that you can tell the game was rushed out but Iām also shocked that they didnāt go back and fix some basic things like sticking your best lap time to the screen.
I would like to see them fix the way the cars look on track. The paints look washed out instead of really popping like they do in the galleries.
I see they have still not done anything about fixing the AI crashing. If anything itās worse on F5 than it was on F4. Iāve spent time at Long Beach sitting still waiting for the demolition derby to clear up at the fountain turn so I could go through. And with the career races only being two laps long you just canāt stand still.
Who else thinks they should put a spectators menu on multiplayer lobbyās
I wish that more than just the forza wing was adjustable. Might be a hard pill to swallow but T10ās wings arenāt the only ones that generate downforce. Aesthetics are part of loving cars and quite frankly I find the same wing on every car a bit boring. Nowadays painters are getting great at painting kits and have always been good at replicas but Iām struggling to take a replica of mine out of the photo and onto the track because I have to use a forza wing to give it the type of handling it should have IRL. Tuning around it just isnāt the same.
I wish for 16x Anistropic Filtering. Itās a completely free graphical effect (on GCN architecture) and will make the game look so much better.
Another thing which will make the game look better is SMAA T2X. This graphical effect uses less performance than the 2x MSAA currently running in Forza 5 and will look better because of the temporal supersampling.
User created rivals that can be posted by users and can last a week and have a way to search them by race, drag, drift, and ect. with a cash bonus for whoever is the winner give me a way to give out my useless 58 million credits since where not allowed to share the wealth anymore (Gifting).
T10 & M.S. FTW
my wish is that forza would take more time to get the power to weight ratio better how can a c1 vette with 994 hp weighing 2500 pounds only able to reach 230mph when a merc.190e can do 260 with less hp and more weight.also the braking some cars that weigh more stop better ???
aerodynamics?
Before I get to the big thing Iām wanting to suggest for FM6, I want to make sure to mention a couple things that I probably already suggested but canāt remember for sure.
-
We need arrows on the HUD to indicate the position of nearby cars since in cockpit and bonnet views we have huge blind spots. Maybe they could start to fade in as cars come within a certain range and get more opaque as cars get closer. Players would need an option to disable this.
-
Players often dislike how short races are in recent games, but if they were longer then others would complain that theyāre too long. Give us an option to scale race distances, with winnings adjusted accordingly. If I run a ten-lap race, maybe it would be worth five times the EXP and CR of the same race someone else did on just two laps. This way, everyone gets the experience they want and everyone is happy. This is regarding career mode, of course, since we can already choose race distance in free play.
Now, onto what Iām here forā¦
For FM6 I think it would be neat if we had teammates. It might be a neat mechanic for career, but multiplayer got me thinking of this. I was playing in public lobbies with a friend the other night and thought it would be neat if we were teammates.
I donāt expect it to be mandatory that players have teammates, or for there to be modes dedicated to having teammates, but rather just have it as a bonus option in normal multiplayer. We could still run solo or partner up with another player as a two-person team.
It would be neat if combined with a return of car clubs. In FM4 we could have cars shared in a club garage, but maybe this time we could also have club liveries and tuning setups shared with just our club. That way, my friend and I could run the same car with matching team liveries, but not necessarily the same setup if we donāt want the same upgrades or tuning setup. If club-mates arenāt online to join us as teammates, we could simply pair up with someone in our lobby or invite one in.
At the end of a race we still get results with who finished in what position and get our EXP and CR accordingly, but next to that could be a list of team results, with highest combined results to the lowest. I figured teams would earn some bonus EXP and CR based on where their team finished, though the rewards should be lower than what we get for our usual finish so as to not be overly unfair to players running solo and not to detract from the value of a good personal result. Maybe, for example, a team finishing on top might get winnings equal to 25% of what we get for earning gold in a race.
We need a way to choose teammates rather than it just being random, but I donāt want everyone swamped with requests. I thought we might be prompted to pick people we want paired with. It lists the players in the lobby and I pick who I most want, then second, third, et cetera, and they do the same. Players get paired off with the players with the most mutual interest. If we donāt want a teammate, we donāt pick anyone. If nobody wants us, weāre on our own.
I thought this might add a co-op dynamic, and it might also encourage players to be more sporting because few will want to team up with someone who clowns around. Maybe my teammate is up ahead on the Nordschleife and he warns me of a bad wreck just over the hill or weāre on an oval coordinating as drafting buddies. Maybe someone is being unsporting and I warn my trailing teammate to watch out for him. If we also awarded a bonus for a teammate being in our car club, that might encourage players to coax their friends into playing more, which might promote more online play for a larger online community and more activity.
not close a 190 e does not have better aero than a vette any era and aerodynamics comes into play when the power to weight is close to the other so all I know is that a lot of the class rules in forza ( wich is suppose to be the closest simulation game out there) is really in my opinion is up to forza not realistic
Post race report: Display best lap time from completed race as well as best lap time ever for that class.
Sometimes I think Iāve raced poorly in a tough-handling car like the TVR Sagaris and get momentarily excited when post-race I see I have a better lap time than my friends. Then I realise that of course it is only showing the best time Iāve posted on that track for that class. Iād like to have a comparison to the best lap I did in the race just completed so I have reference for how far Iām off by.
One make races
Full championships (with teams, points, etc)
Flag/ penalty system
Weather variation
Ability to turn of HUD and get all info (position, lap time, car state, etc) by pit radio
Canadian GP track and Suzuka please!!!
For Forza 6
- Keep working to improve wheel ffb, maybe individual settings for road feedback and lateral grip ect. Look at pc sims for examples.
- 1 to 1 steering wheel animation with the use of a wheel up to the full 900 degrees.
- Assists and wheel dor and ffb settings asaignable to individual cars. Atleast the option to have assists as universal or car specific.
- Adjustable TCS settings, see also other pc racing sims.
- More custom options with hud units. Car power in horse power but speed in km/hr. Shouldnāt be too difficultāŗ
- Customizable cockpit view. Zoom in out and raise higher and lower. See Assetto Corsa
- Head tracking, if it was more precise it might get more use. Could have the option to have the driver automatically look left or right slightly as its turning ala shift 2.
- The game could use a career mode. A race season whith point totals that accumulate just like AMLS, Formula One ect. Maybe Rivals mode Qualify sessions.
- Track editor.
- Rally mode.
- Bring back the more throaty exhast sounds from FM
FM5 sounds great with the directional and reverb. Just the exhast sounds on some cars are a bit āwhizzyā sounding at higher rpms. Example whoud be the Mercery Cougar that was recorded for FM4. - Last but not least⦠LOCAL LEADERBOARD! Iām gonna keep asking for this till I get itāŗ
Would like to thank you guys at Turn 10 for the work you do in making Forza great. Thanks for taking the time to listenš
I would love to see an expansion of how new cars are purchased. Something to the tune of how the original Test Drive Unlimited operated.
In essence what I would like to see is a dealer options list.
For example:
I want to buy a Mustang, so I go to the Ford dealer section of ābuy carsā and select the Mustang.
The mustang pops up in its most basic form (V6 manual hardtop)
I can then select options, trim packages, colors, and even pick out performance variations of the car (Saleen, Shelby, Rousch, etc.)
This is similar to how a ābuild your carā section of a car manufacturers website would operate. Obviously picking trim pieces and convertible tops and sound systems is superfluous to a racing sim, but it would increase the level of immersion and realism and give users true customization and almost limitless opportunities when building and pricing new cars.
You can even show lineage and evolution of a car using this system as well. For instance when the Mustang is selected all available model years in their most basic forms would show up (from 1964.5 all the way to 2015) and the players can select which year they want and build from the starter Mustang.
However the most important part of this is building up the car from the base model (performance wise). It gives Forza and Turn10 the opportunity to vastly increase the available array of cars and engines without having to model fifteen different kinds of Mustangs (and sell them side by side) and it would be amazing to have all these options available to us players.
This system will allow Turn10 to maintain the excellent job they do of providing the lineage and history of the cars in the lineup (best represented in Forza 4 by BMW M3, M5, Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Corvette) but also provide all different options and performance ranges of the cars like it was and is available in real life.
This is not something that can be implemented in Forza 5 but this could be the evolution that brings Forza way out ahead of the pack of available sim racers, especially after Project CARS enters the scene and starts chewing at GT and Forzaās market share.
Iād love an online time-attack/rivals mode where you could jump onto a track with some friends and just go at posting some quick times and beating rivals. Probably have to turn off collisions though for obvious reasonsā¦
