Forza Monthly livestream Dec. 4 | Series 28 & 29 preview

I guess it’s a “better late than never” thing, but what’s next? Back to the Future Part 2? Groundhog Day?

“widebody” is actually in its factory name. The wheel arches you can see on the picture are the “widebody”. I don’t think it has a separate kit.

Yeah but by now they put out like $50 worth of DLC cars. That adds up quite a lot. I wish the packs were cheaper like, $5 per pack instead of $10.

I don’t mind investing another $5 or $10 from time to time. No guarantee these cars would make it into the game without the car packs because it cost money to license and 3D scan and program for the game.

A lot of strong positives with a couple of weak negatives with this reveal.

Cars coming to the autoshow was not something I was expecting but it’s something I very much appreciate.

Massive influx of cars is always nice, regardless of their delivery method.

Always going to thumbs up new races too. The map is still wildly underutilized but I’m not going to look a gift horse in the mouth.

I still think the PGG team has yet get back on track though. They keep nibbling at the edges, and put in an obvious amount of great work, but we’re still concerned about things like drone shows while custom championships still aren’t a thing. I shouldn’t complain too much, after all at least it’s not a thinly disguised advertisement, and I do have to admit it is something that does add to the festival atmosphere, but I do think priorities are still a little skewed here.

I get they aren’t the same people who work on these elements, but I’m still very skeptical of PGG and need to see some smart prioritization out of them before I can get behind them and the more gratuitous elements they add to the game.

So let’s call it one and a half thumbs up. Putting in strong work and trending in the right direction, but you could stop trending and just be there. This slow push to improvement still has me wondering if PGG remembers that this is a racing game.

Nice to see new engine audio for the '23 Corvette Z06 and you’ll be able to tune the gear ratios for the '23 Meyers Manx 2.0.

Yeah, $10 seems steep for this one, but maybe that’s just me.

Is it really ten bucks? That’s outrageous.

“Clutch, you’re so negative. How come you never say anything nice about the game? Why do you come here anyway?”

Why? For moments. Like. This:

BRAVO, PLAYGROUND GAMES!

I have to admit, the rest of the update is pretty solid, and that stuff alone might have merited a congratulatory post, albeit a less enthusiastic one. But I cannot emphasize this enough: Adding Playlist cars to the Autoshow is probably the single best decision you guys have made in at least the last year, and probably the game’s entire development cycle. And the list is so stacked, too. You threw your whole back into it. I have been one of your harshest critics, but seriously: THANK YOU.

Now, keep this up. Make these Playlist–>Autoshow migrations a regular thing, and not just a thing you do when you need to spice up a community poll. I would prefer dropping huge batches of them like this every update, but even four or five Playlist cars would be great. Doing stuff like this is how you get your crowd back, and I’m going to be real with you - your big brother is currently faceplanting so hard that you have a prime opportunity to seize the moment. Horizon 5 has been on a surprisingly good track ever since Motorsport crashed, and this is probably the biggest step in a good direction yet.

I cannot emphasize enough how excited I am for this update. This is properly good work. MORE OF THIS, PLEASE.

to be fair, 4 weeks from now isn’t a time I’d like to be made to work!

I’d understand if the pack was bigger, but that’s way too much money for only five cars. I had no problems with the car packs until now. This is just egregious.

The Super Speed car pack had four cars for $4.99, and the Fast X car pack has 5 cars for $9.99.

So apparently, one extra car costs $5 more. Make it make sense…

Gotta pay for that Fast and Furious licensing. 6th car would’ve been nice for the price though, to bring it closer to the $10 for the 7 italian exotic cars.

I like to have all cars but I will skip this car pack. $10 is absolutely steal.

I would love to have Dante’s Impala and the Datsun though. The Flip car looks fun too.

They finally featured some exclusive cars into the forzathon shop! Our months long whining has paid off.

1st Sale: 24-26th of December
2nd Sale: From 31st to 2nd of Janurary

Also this gives you a chance to gift some exlucive cars as opposed to just sending a random autoshow car. Great way to spend our forzathon points

Good stuff overall, bit on the fence about the car pack but other than that FH5 is carrying Forza as a series at the moment while big brother embarrasses himself again.

Can anyone tell me what is in the Series 29 update? There is literally nothing about January in the blog post, unless I am either blind or an idiot.

New cars being added to the autoshow? Excellent!

Although it’s pretty suspicious to see four very expensive cars showing up now that paid car vouchers are included in the game, but you know what? I have in game credits and a love for old cars.

@KnightOfRen8514 I had to look around for this, myself, AR12 seems to have the answers. 2011 McLaren 12C Coupe, 2008 Aston Martin DBS, 2006 Koenigsegg CCX, 2016 Lykan Hypersport, 2012 Huayra, 1967 Benz 280 SL, 2016 Spania GTA Spano, 1969 FIAT Dino 2.4 Coupe.
