Forza is the best racing game with graphics!

super interesting watch. Thanks for sharing

Like what? I didn’t change anything. It’s standard, with default motion blur that is automatically applied in default mode when capturing an image at high speed.

The default settings in photo mode are drastically different than the in game image. There’s no preset that is identical to the in game settings either.

Forza Motorsport is very inconsistent, look at the grills on the 488 pista in horizon with mesh and radiator detail, and then in motorsport it’s just flat black, not the best looking game when you start looking at things and details are missing.

Follow up to above post, is there a realistic chance that they go back and add details to cars like the Pista? I know that they fixed the mesh on the LaFerrari and some other cars, but it’s hard not to feel like some people at Turn10 did the bare minimum to bring cars from FH4,5 over to FM23.

The default shooting mode isn’t drastically different, and it’s not even close! The biggest difference is the motion blur applied. Try it out for yourself.

Furthermore, the photos we are talking about were taken at different times of the day (obviously, since my message aims to demonstrate how graphic inconsistency works depending on the time of day).

Dammm this is what I call a downgrade! Especially since it’s on Forza Vista… It shouldn’t be like this.

So… Decided I’d try something to maybe jog Dolby Vision into looking better. It worked. Turned on allow 4:2:2 and dolby vision woke up in a major way. I’ve never seen this game look as good as it does right now. Considerably better than HDR10. Proper specular and the deepest black I’ve seen in this game yet without tweaking my OLED brightness or black level. I am using flimmaker mode, but still. Looks pretty good to my eye. Every game does.

Still isn’t the best looking racing game, but looks considerably closer to the mark. If you’re struggling with HDR, try turning Dolby Vision on with allow 4:2:2 enabled.

ACEVO can be ran on an AMD 1500x and a RX 580. The only problem is the RAM requirement, but its not an impossibility to get the game working within the Series S’s requirements.

Nothings impossible, im sure they could make it run, its just at what cost.

That sucks. But on the other side of the consistency coin Turn 10 goes and does this…

Where they put detail inside the exhaust pipes on the Huracan EVO Spyder.

It would be awesome if they gave all the cars in the Forza franchise extreme levels of detail. But that will take time. I am not sure of who would be willing to wait for this to happen in FM23 or when they make a new title?

I missed that car becuase I didn’t have time that series haha.

Similar to your point some cars have active aero with 4 settings that are modeled accurately, different car same brand the wing only has 2 settings and less accurate active aero, very inconsistent.

I want to assume it comes from different teams at the capture or modeling point of the process. I wish I knew but then again, what good would that information do an end user like me?

If mods was a thing in this game, I am absolutely sure the community would have dragged a lot of older cars into remodeling. LOL

In overall perspective yes its good, but in the detail its ugly. Zoom on car on crowd on grass on everything in detail its uglyest ug.

It’s still not the best looking racing game (and it doesn’t even have to be). At this point such threads feel like a ragebait.

Part II?

Hmm the game starts to run bad if I activate any RT stuff even with my RTX 5090. I am getting CPU bottlenecked then I guess with my good old R9 5950x and the game is optimized like garbage.

Not in replays. Gran Turismo always had more realistic colors.
