As good a guess as any at the present time

Get Game Pass for one month, preferably a cheap trial, certainly not full price. Wait for launch day bugs to be patched.

Since everything is sadly going up in price, I predict 70 USD for the base game, and 120 USD for the Ultimate Edition.

Sadly this might be the case unfortunately :sob::pleading_face::smiling_face_with_tear:

I had a look into my Amazon list of purchased items and saw that I paid 55€ for the standard physical Edition of FH3 back then. FH5 cost me 70€ for the base game, that price increase happened in 2018 with FH4, which means 6 years after FH1 they increased the price of the standard edition. FH4 is now 7 years ago, so I think it’s not too unlikely that they increase the price with the next one, especially considering the long development duration. But I also don’t think it’s more that 10€ increase, so my assumption is:

Standard 80€, Deluxe 90€ and Ultimate/Premium 100€ - 110€, and then of course the Expansions and Car Packs. It’s certainly not going to be cheap.

Here is a list based on some quick and dirty research:

Keep in mind that retail prices always differ a little bit from the msrp and discounts usually don’t take long to arrive, you can also get the game on third party websites as a download code where you can save quite a lot of money. So realistically I think you’ll be able to get the base game for 60€ if you wait a bit.

probably the base version would be $60, the ultimate edition would be $130 in the U.S., canada would be $80 for the standard edition, Asia would be $300, Europe would be $500 for the ultimate edition if its true.

yeah plus time consumption and game development cycles.

Why do you think the prices would be so different in different regions?

If you’re talking about tariffs, as far as I know those don’t apply on software as it’s not a physical good that needs to be shipped across borders, and even if we talk about physical disc versions of the game, those are usually not produced in the US, so the import tariff would also apply for US and increase the price for US customers. (eg. if it was produced in Mexico, there might be a ~25% price increase)

There is a good chance that many game developers decide to drop the physical version all together, cause the cost of tariffs and royalties or intellectual property like licenses could total so high that there is simply no revenue left to be made. There is a general shift in the industry away from physical collectors editions and such, so I wouldn’t be surprised if FH6 is going to be a digital-only title.

That would make sense.

As far as i remember back in 2023 Xbox increased prices to 69.99. Forza Motorsport was one of the first games that were affected by it. Then this year they wanted to increase them again to 79.99 but then they backed down. So it should be 69.99 for the base game. And each edition tier would be 9.99 usd/euro more than the previous.

Actually after checking again.. The deluxe edition for FH5 is 79.99. Allow me to correct myself:

Base game: 69.99

Deluxe: 89.99

Premium: 99.99-109.99

My GamePass is stacked til December 2028 but I’m gonna pre-order the most expensive copy as I normally do

Ok, so now we officially have the prices for all Versions:

Standard Edition: $69.99 USD / £59.99 GBP / €69.99 EUR → is included with Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass

Deluxe Edition: $99.99 / £89.99 GBP / €99.99 EUR

Premium Edition: $119.99 / £109.99 GBP / €119.99 EUR

Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass members and Standard or Deluxe Edition owners can upgrade to the Premium Edition by purchasing the Premium Upgrade, sold separately for $59.99 USD / £59.99 GBP / €59.99 EUR.

Our predictions weren’t that far off after all. I think these prices aren’t life shattering, but also not really that great if we’re honest. The Deluxe Edition is 10 bucks more expensive and value wise didn’t really improve, it stays one of the worst deals in the line-up.

The Standard Edition still seem fairly good value, but the Premium increased by 20bucks.

The Premium upgrade therefore also increased from 30 bucks (FH5) to 60 bucks. Which means that unlike previously, the Premium Upgrade + the Standard Edition will cost more than the Premium Edition itself.

Considering all of this, I personally say the Premium Edition is the best value, but I’d still recommend anyone to try and get a better deal on third party platforms, there is enough services these days where you can buy download codes for a sale price.

Anyway, I’m still hyped. Looks like we’re getting a lot of features that people have been asking for a long time, so maybe that makes up for the price increase.

The price is fine and has gone down in real terms over time, despite the scope of the game getting bigger. It also used to be complete on release but now they support it for years with regular free updates too.

Even though my gamepass is paid up for the next 3 years, I ALWAYS buy the FH games.
