I beat a Rank 10 with the Mini in the Final Showdown once…for a starter car that thing is OP
So did I but we are talking about Horizon 4 not 5 then.
The Mini in Horizon 5 is terrible.
Then again I beat a level 10 with the beatle in 5 once.

I just won it with the lvl2 Golf which is the first win with a car lower than lvl5 but have to admit that the Golf feels more like a lvl4.
Sometimes it worths to stay until the end even if the session seems a waste of time just because of how much lucky you can be in the final. 145th overall win
that is so crazy congrats. how did end up in the final with a 2 though? to me, that is very hard to do. the drops towards the last 2 circles are at a minimum level 5, so youd have to go out of your way not to pick up any drops, right?
The vast majority of sessions that in the start i find only lvl2 and lvl3 drops im able to successfully find at least a lvl5 after the first shrinkage. However in some very rare cases this doesn’t happen then the only thing i can do is to avoid others as much as possible because if they see me in a lvl2 or 3 they will challenge me immediately to get their easy car upgrade. I was able to find lvl4 but i rejected them because what difference would make the Impreza compared to the Golf?
The final arena was that central close to stadium. Unlike the rest i first drove to the stadium and then towards the jungle and that way i found only fields in front of me while if you drive straight you will find way too many trees. I guess if you do that and the arena decides to send towards Mulege Town you are screwed but most of the times it is not sending to that direction so driving towards the stadium is the best bet.
The impreza would be worse than golf in some cases. Subie has an awful recovery time, due to horrendous turbo lag
Yes and the Audi S1 doesn’t feel faster than the Golf. In fact cars in level 4 doesn’t make much difference than most of lvl3 and lvl2 cars which makes h2h unnecessary on so low levels.
my strategy is that if i am in a 1-4, my goal is to get out of it asap as you are fodder for h2hs and the final. regardless of the car.
once i have a 5, again regardless of the car, i start actively looking to challenge, rather than look for drops. the time you spend visiting drops will end up costing you as you are more likely to get upgrades quicker by challenging others.
I try to get safe h2h as much as possible because everything else is a risk and it’s ridiculous how easily i can end up losing. But when the arenas are small the h2h destinations are predictable and it’s easier for me to win and in many cases i have successfully beaten even people much better cars.

you all were not kidding about how OP that lvl 2 audi is.
look at how fast he erases my lead with a lvl 5 with under 300m to go. if i was a QA tester, id almost be tempted to log this as a bug as imo i just felt robbed here

A few weeks ago I was driving the Audi and got challenged by an Exocet. I win and the guy DMs me accusing me of cheating lol. That’s how freaking OP it is.
Honestly as long as you don’t get a highway run its not a bad car to have. If you do…thats a different story

I was acused of cheating after I did that.
That Audi could be a good level 5 car or even an bad level 6. I saw people winning with it and since i had already a lucky level2 win with the Golf i decided to try a final race with it and as you can see:
I mean it’s like winning with a level 5 or 6 which is not that rare if the finish line is more difficult like this in the jungle.
Just moments ago I was challenged in the Audi by a Funco F9 and while another player deliberatly rammed me I still beat the funco.
