Wheel support and FFB feels really bad after the patch. 2 days ago it was fine but now its way to weak. what happened with the feedback… is anyone having the same issues?
to clarify i use a logitech g920 steering wheel with 900 degrees settings. vibration and FFB strenght are both on 100%. A 2000 KG car feels a lot lighter than a 600 KG car used to feel before the patch. I can’t get good FFB setting anymore after the patch (only 1/3 of the strenght it used to have). Any help or tips are greatly appreciated because this issue really breaks the game for me!
Edit: The issue is solved I found out it wasn’t working properly because of some sort of (patch) installation failure. I reinstalled the whole game and now the FFB is fine again. Big relieve!
So i played Forza back in the days of Xbox 360 - was it FM3/4? And then snowed in on PC2, Assetto Corsa etc.
Now i just felt, ahhhh what the h*ll, lets try horizon on pc! Looked at a lot of Youtubers and then saw the metacritic rating. Ok lets go!
So just now got around to start it. I have a Thrustmaster TX, using the steeringwheel from my T500RS (that burnt this summer). Went to set up controls. It lets me setup every button i want but i still have undefined buttons. But hey, i dont have 100 buttons on my steeringwheel! Why cant i use it together with the keyboard?!
No wheel has that amount of buttons and not everyone has buttonboxes. FYI i do have the Thrustmaster T8-gearshift aswell. And i can assign those gears, but still claims “undefined buttons”…
Recently, I just bought Thrustmaster Ferrari 458 Italia for XBOX 360/PC (This product: http://www.thrustmaster.com/products/ferrari-458-italia) and it doesn’t seem to be detected by the game despite it’s supposed to work with the 360 controller driver. And if I try to reconnect it, suddenly it lights up as player 2.
Anyone else has this issue?
Edit: I managed to work it out. But the problem now is the wheel lock doesn’t match the wheel in the game due to its not recognized by it. Other game did it just fine, so I’m not sure what’s going on in this game. Is it a fixed value for lesser known 3rd party wheel? idk
Just wondering after this fortune island update has anyone elses wheel gone all funny…I play on 900° but it’s only using 180° and the wheel is very twitchy…was working fine before the update
My wheel set up
Thrustmaster TMX PRO
T3PA pedals
TH8A shifter
My computer right now is getting a fix thanks to a windows update error so I cannot check following myself.
The turning issue verified by telemetry? Verify with telemetry mode to see if it is going to lock before reaching controller limits.
if so, verify settings. Is it still on your wheel setting that is preferred?
Check advanced settings. Higher sensitivity will make it turn sharply initially, then drop off. 50 on linearity and sensitivity shoule have it matching smoothly from lock to lock.
Hi my telemetry is saying that 9 o clock is left and 3 o’clock is right… but in my advance settings I have it as 900° but I’m only getting 180° it’s a real shame because the drift road looks insane
i bought a thrustmaster 458 spider steering wheel and it worked on home but not in game. Ideas? and if i need to get a new one what can i get under 75 that works on forza horizon 4 xbox one
Have there been any updates on this? I’m looking at getting a wheel for FH4 but so far everything I’ve seen here is really REALLY pushing my away from that idea…
I dont know what wheel I’d even go with, but this thread is making me think none of them really work at all with FH4.
I’ve given up trying to use a wheel with Forza. I’ve used a wheel with F1 2017, Project Cars 2, and GT Sport, and with all those, I find the wheel lets me drive better than I can with the controller, and I can do so without spending much time getting used to the wheel, I’ve been quicker with a wheel in less than an hour in all three. In both Forza Motorsport and Horizon I can drive better with the controller than the wheel, despite spending more time trying to get good with the wheel in Motorsport than I have in the other games I mentioned. It varies a bit with car - there was a rivals event where I set a new PB with the wheel, beating my controller time, however I spent longer doing that with the wheel than I had with the controller. But there were other events where I spent considerable time setting very poor times with the wheel, then tried with a controller and was immediately massively faster, around 10 seconds faster in one case.
Same here. Have G290 with the clutch which I use to play Project Cars 2, Assetto Corsa, Dirt Rally and Wreckfest without any problems. But no matter how I tried to tune my wheel setup in Forza 4 I’m still driving better with the controller or the keyboard.
Not to mention some constant gear grinding noises.
this is because of the constant steering assist on the pad for conter steer and understeer … plus mediocre ffb (mostly road feel) … its not bad like some games … but its not perfect … the info u get is confusing sometime
but i dont thing realistic FFB is what we need in forza … this is why i prefer FH3 … its less realistic but more playable
Hi - My son has a X Rocker XR Racing wheel he is trying to use with Forza Horizon 4. Initially I was going to contact their tech support as it doesn’t seem to be connecting. Now after reading some of these forums it seems it might not be compatible! Can anyone confirm if this is supported? I’ve followed the vague instructions to connect and think we’re doing it right!! Thanks
