I’d have to agree with @ParanoidDoge in that I can’t think of a reason why a simultaneous release of FM8 and FH5 would produce as much excitement as a staggered release. So if there’s to be a lull in development activity, then this is probably an opportune moment for PG to tackle some of those “fine print” issues that would make the game a much better experience for everyone in the meantime, while producing a much cleaner foundation to work from with the next game.
FH4 is more than just an exceptional framework of a game. However, I feel that one of the barriers that’s hindering any refinement of it is PG being “too close” to its development to be objective enough to recognize the nuanced issues that are truly affecting players. IMHO, they probably would benefit from having someone outside of their development team audit the game in an official capacity in order to provide them with confirmation to some of the matters brought up by those here and on other forums. Maybe that’s already happening/happened or maybe it hasn’t. However, there are a lot of little things here-and-there that are eyebrow-raising enough to suggest the latter to me.
They should honestly wait 2 more years, and focus on cleaning up all of the bugs, glitches, and AH issues that have existed across the past few games. If they were using the new games (3,4,5) as those updated releases then that would be one thing, but they aren’t and are charging money for worse games every time.
I wish they would use this as ‘practice’ for FH5 in streamlining menus, further enhancing the AH, cleaning up the course editor, car management, etc. They could call it ‘The Finally Finished Game’ expansion pack.
If they could get car management as intuitive as Forza Motorsport 4 was many moons ago, I’d be happy.
I have two theories as to what this one may be. Because we could not get a 50$ triple expansion pass instead of a 35$ double, it will be free. What expansions in the past have been free? Horizon Rally in 1 and Fast and Furious in 2. Expansion 3 will be similar.

A third expansion would make sense now. They have added so many cars since release but most of the players have finished the game and don’t know what to do with them.
A racing track or air field with a long straight strip would be nice. I mean we have this in the Lego expansion, but it’s too small.
I’ve got an idea that’ll blow everyone’s minds away what if we have a matchbox expansion pack for FH4 I mean think about it the United kingdom makes matchbox so it would make perfect sense for it to be in the game and to those who don’t know what exactly matchbox is it’s like hotwheels and my brother played them a lot when he was a kid he loved them a lot so please developers just atleast think about it of having matchbox into the game plz
I would love to do a goliath type race around ISLE OF MAN. at around 18 minutes a lap for the TT bikes it would be AWESOME in a car. fingers crossed for a 3rd expansion of some kind.
