Forza Horizon 4 GPU usage at 0

Guys I am DESPERATE, i really need help to solve this problem i never had before… I’m on PC and I bought FH4 on day one from the Microsoft Store, I’ve played flawlessly at it on Ultra settings for 2 YEARS, then after the latest Super 7 update the game suddendly stopped working as it always had.
When I launch the game it starts stuttering so badly that I can’t even navigate the menus, in the GPU usage i see it working at 0-2% and of course getting 0-1 fps max!!! It’s unacceptable and unplayable.
I’m on a desktop, playing with a i9 9900K and 2080Super, I don’t have any issues with any other game, I can run much heavier games easily and FH4 was one of these too… but not anymore!

I’ve already changed display port (plugged in gpu), disabled iGPU, checked RAM problems, reinstalled the game on various SSDs, forced the game to use my 2080Super in graphics settings, but nothing seems to work :frowning:

Another thing that may be crucial to solve this mess: With the game opened in fullscreen the game freeze/stutter, but in the moment when i press the Windows key to make the start menu appear the game start working perfectly (as it should) in the background behind the windows menu, when i close it to go back to the game it restart to freeze and stutter.

It’s totally unplayable and i don’t know what else i can do, the problem may be some overlaying stuff, i don’t have other softwares working in background, nothing that i know it could cause this… please HELP!! :frowning:

The first thing I’d look at is whether Win 10’s game mode is getting turned on. It seems like something is trying to do something helpful when the game is running full screen, that is actually hurting it. I’ve found game mode to do nothing but cause problems.

If that’s not it, have you tried doing a complete removal of the graphics driver using this, then installing the graphics driver afresh?
