Yeah, both NSXs i use are AWD and engine swapped. The fastest road rivals times are generally set using drag tyres and dirt tyres will usually be used for ranked given the extra power they allow to be added (drag tyres only being useable in summer). I’ve never seen.a fast rivals time using RWD in S1 so I suspect Rayne’s tuning knowledge is correct and RWD is not a fast option for S1.
Out of curiosity I built a S900 RWD with the stock engine. On the first attempt with the imho best performance setup including the bodykit and rear-aero.
With a 5:56 on my test track it was ~ 6 seconds slower than the above mentionend AWD build which is a lot considering it is a flying lap in completely dry conditions.
Without the bodykit and rear-aero to keep a stock-like look it can’t even reach S900 without the need to butcher the build with increased front tire width.
We are talking 6 minutes + with that build I’m sure.
If you want a RWD NSX on S900 you’ll have to use the '05 R GT - preferably with the racing V8 of the Ariel Atom.
2005 Nsx doesnt produce enough downforce to be viable at all without forza aero on S1 class. You Have to use Forza aero.
Have you tried the Porsche Cayman GTS? It’s a lot of fun if you can handle it…
S1 900 RWD Rear engine, and with a bit of tuning, it’s fun… but get the suspension right, or the tail will walk right out on you
Only drawback: Sport compound Tires.
Porsche is rear engined, and there is less weight in the front…
Try it! It’s interesting, especially in the Winter…
But also try RWD, because it is extremely good for track racing, and good handling.
If you go the AWD route, just try tuning the diff, because Rear bias is better… like, 75 Rear 25 Front, or 80 Rear and 20 front.
don’t bodykit it ruins aero
This is my opinion on what car(s) are good, so it might not be good for your purposes…
