Fastest of S1

S1 is byfar the best class forza has to offer. A wide array of tunes, builds, and drivers, all going at a pace fast enough to be breaking your ribs and slow enough where competitive, close racing happens. I’ve been on a quest to find the best S1 car out there. I have a spreadsheet, of different cars going around the same track, the Holyrood Park Circuit. Fast, technical, and shot-medium length. I would like you guys to post your times around this track, along with all the necessary information. The car you use, Drivetrain, hp, weight, performance index, engine, name of the tuner, and your IGN. Slap on a general race tune for S1, and scorch the asphalt.

I’m a pretty good driver, but I can get nowhere near your 1.02:99 time in the Nissan GTR LM FE even with your tune installed. Best I could get was 1:05.20.

So comparing tunes isn’t really useful when you’re somehow 2 seconds quicker in the same car around the same track :frowning:

Did you do a flying lap?

That is fine, its winter tyers and rally suspention.

It’s sad that this is what we have to resort to since they decided to remove rivals. What were they thinking?

Literally the first drive in this car in S1 and first stab at a tune. Seems like a car that’s hard to mess up. 10 lap race, clean lap (no touching anything, no sharing air, no shortcuts and all fences stayed up), had another lap almost identical. I didn’t opt for the adjustable aero and I highly doubt it’s needed here. Too much can be done flat out and the grip is nearly overkill without it. My suspension seemed spot on but the gearing could be tweaked for the course (used the race transmission), probably letting it lap quicker.

Perfectly clean lap, but not a perfect lap. The car has a quicker one in it, probably in the 1:01’s. It has a 9.5 handling rating so it corners phenomenonally, but it’s a more balanced car the the GT-R LM FE. I have an incomplete Big Board I’m working on for Moorhead Wind Farm Circuit and this Alfa sits at or near the top of S1 there, too.

I will put some times down tonight with some different cars - Mustang DD 2018 , Porsche Carrera 2019 & Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE 2018.

2018 Ford Mustang GT DD (1:05.933) AWD - 750hp - 3,506lbs - S1/900 - 5.0L Original - Masterfulc0ncho - Masterfulc0ncho

2018 Ford Mustang GT DD (1:05.636) RWD - 750hp - 3,067lbs - S1/900 - 5.0L Original - Masterfulc0ncho - Masterfulc0ncho

Pictures for proof. Both tunes are available for download from my creative hub, just search for my GT or “KrakenTuned” in the description. I love Holyrood Circuit as that’s what I use to test all of my tunes. That or Goliath.

I think I’ve just set times in two cars that aren’t in the spreadsheet. I’ve included my time in the GT-R LM FE for reference, even though faster times have been set with that car.

car: 1995 Nissan Nismo GT-R LM FE
time: 1:03.013
AWD
power: 465hp
weight: 2571lb
engine: stock
tuner: breeminator
driver: breeminator

car: 2002 Koenigsegg CC8S
time: 1:03.238
AWD
power: 564hp
weight: 2993lb
engine: unknown (4700cc)
tuner: Grandma Driving
driver: breeminator

car: 2008 Dodge Viper SRT10 ACR
time: 1:03.463
AWD
power: 727hp
weight: 3142lb
engine: stock
tuner: breeminator
driver: breeminator

I think the driver is more important than the car, though, it’s so important with that track to carry every last possible drop of speed in each bend.

The GT-R LM FE would be slower than the other two for a higher speed track like Lakehurst Forest Sprint, or a freeroam rush down the motorway. The Viper crosses the start/finish line about 15mph faster, and the CC8S about 20mph faster.

Edit: just tried R e Z o a K’s NSX-R '92 and did 1:02.279, so it looks like my driving ability is around 0.5 secs off R e Z o a K and Abell 370. I’ll try making my own build of that NSX-R some time, as I think I can tune it to more suit my driving style, I found it a bit oversteery.
