The 2016-2017 models are new to the franchise, GT2 and Carrera were last seen in FM4 as DLC, and the 718 and 550A were DLC in FM6. The most recent 911 was among the top 25 most requested car models from the community in the FH3 Car Wish List thread (tabulated at launch).
As an exclusive bonus car, this version of the Spano is not listed in the Autoshow. This car is treated by the game as a separate model from the GTA Spano in the October Car pack, meaning that designs and tuning files for one can’t be used on the other. The livery on this version of the Spano is native to the car, so it can be restored if you paint over it.
Content updates are free. They are typically released on the first Tuesday of the month to enable new cars to be visible in the game and may also change or fix features in the game. New car packs can be purchased but will not be usable until the content update has been released and installed. Typical release time is after 10am Pacific.
