The codes are just download codes. Your game won’t have a little code in it saying its a GameStop copy that will prevent you from using a download code.
Historically the answer has been yes but it would depend on whether they choose to do things differently this time.
Up until this morning I still hadn’t pulled the trigger on pre-ordering yet – waiting (hoping!) on the chance that the LE version will be announced at Gamescom next weekend. But looking at the BB page with the BMW and a bonus $10 Xbox Live code (not to mention 20% off with GCU) I figured why not, I can always re-order when (if?) the LCE is announced.
Still, I really hope Turn 10 has a nice LCE surprise for us next weekend (I can understand holding the announcement to that show, with the car culture of Europe). If there isn’t anything announced by the end of show I think we are going to be out of luck.
Do you (or anyone reading this) have experience on preordering with Best Buy? I am trying to decide where I want to preorder from with as little headache as possible. Would you recommend shipping or pick up in store? And for the shipping, I am not seeing much on what methods/if they have release day delivery.

Due to being a member of Gamer’s Club Unlocked (20% off all new game purchases) I pre-order exclusively from Best Buy. I think I have something like 23 pre-orders through early 2015.
What I personally do: pre-order on Bestbuy.com with store pickup (where available, a few of the Vita games I have on PO are shipping only). I don’t pre-order in store because they way they apply the $5 pre-order to your total at time of purchase is… kludgy at best. The game is held behind the counter for you for up to 7 days. They do put an annoying sticker on the product, but for 99% of games that isn’t an issue as they are shrink wrapped (putting it on some of the CEs that aren’t fully wrapped is one of my pet peeves, but the stick usually comes off without any issue).
I don’t believe they have same day delivery for POs, least wise none of the games I’ve ever POed and had shipped have shown up on release day, but again I only ship smaller scale games, anything I want day one I do a pick up.

I couldn’t pass up the deal of saving 20% on the game and getting the $10 MS code. But now I’m finding out there are digital ONLY special editions of the game? This is an absolute pile of poo!
Disappointed as I buy the digital games from the xbox one games dashboard that the only way I can get my favourite car is to search ebay on day 1 to get the Lambo Gallardo Superleggera. Hope preload and preorder bonuses comes to the digital xbox store asap.
I don’t think there’s any exclusive extras in them. It’s just bundled with VIP and/or the Car Pass at a slightly cheaper price. A good deal since digital downloads should be cheaper in the first place.
If you preorder it and have it shipped, I did this with watch dogs, it gets shipped the release day… I would pick it up at the store. I ordered mine from gamestop because of the Lamborghini. They said the pre order store pickup will be available when the store opens, I think thats 8 or 9 am… I’m also looking for someone who might want to pass an extra code from a different store along that they might not not car about the bonus store pre order car… Let me know if someone is interested in doing that
That’s lame that if you want to pre order from even Microsofts own store you don’t get the Lamborghini Superleggera. I think I’ll take the hit and get a $10 gift card instead of paying $10 extra at Gamestop to get that one bonus car. (I just dislike doing business with them for one)
But is just kind of ironic that every other site lets you get $10 gift cards along with purchase, but Ripoffstop doesn’t. (Not really surprised either by all means)
To follow up on my earlier post regarding Best Buy, I attempted to preorder online with in-store pickup because 1) I drive right by one on my way home from work and 2)Out of all the preorder cars, the BMW is my top pick.
The problem I am having is when I pick in-store pickup as my shipping option, there are no Best Buys in a 100 mile radius that I can choose. They all say “Unavailable”.
Has anyone preordered online with Best Buy and in-store pickup with success?

Just wanted to let anyone reading this know that I was able to pre-order from Best Buy online with the Pickup In-store option. Must have just been a temporary issue the other day.

I want to pre order FH2 so i can get the pre order cars but my problem is that i live in sweden and have to import it… The only store ive found that ships FH2 to sweden is Amazon and they wanted the sick prize of 95 US dollars with the tax and ship fee. Know that MS store got free delivery to sweden becouse i ordered my Xbox one from there but i cant order from the US version thats the only version that sells FH2 and i cant change the delivery to sweden. Please help!
As an alternative did i ask Xbox support if i could purshase and download the game to my xbox digital so i at least can get the game but they sad it probably not will work becouse FH2 is a blue ray disc so i have no idea how i can get the game… I will not pay some sick prize and i cant wait for it to be released in sweden where no shops has an confirmed release…
These Pre-Order cars Turn 10 does drive me crazy. Just make ALL the cars available to EVERYONE. Why do we need special codes for cars?

I’ve been looking for pre-order bonus cars and I have found all of the ones posted so far. BUT, if anyone finds the 2013 Audi RS4 Avant in the US, PLEASE let me know! I wish the UK codes worked in the US so I could trade someone for whatever they wanted.
Edit - never mind, I read that wrong. Aren’t the codes universal? Could’ve sworn they were for the FH1 codes.
